Use the contact button at the bottom of the page. Though if memory serves me correctly, you need to be meet verified and have been an active member for a year or more |

"Is a moderator the same as an administrator (site admin)?
nope"
So a moderator is basically the forum police? An administrator would have greater powers?
Any idea on how an administrator gets to be an administrator? Is that also voluntary? Do they get paid? Do they need to sign a contract? I only ask, as I would imagine an administrator would have access to a lot of personal data (private photos etc). |

as far as i know, there’s no salary, it’s voluntary, the moderators police the site so to speak, so they can control what is posted in the forums and have the power to remove comments or entire threads, administrators access everything and can change how the site is viewed, manage profiles etc, so yes, they have full access to your profile and can control what’s in there. |

I would imagine the vetting process, to be an administrator, would be a bit more rigorous though. |

i would only assume close personal friends to the site owners would be admins, moderators can be anyone as long as they meet certain criteria |

"cos I am always keep getting kicked off for hr or so and thought if I became one that's one less kicking me off and I can do some kicking myself pmsl "
..or maybe stop behaving in such a way that keeps getting you temporary bans? Just a thought. |

Be glad that chat only does it for an hour, on the forums you get minimum 24hrs up to a week from posting.
Doubt they'd give mod powers to someone that's been here 2 weeks and has a string of bans.
I'd like to be a mod, been here 8 years, always try my best to stay within the guidelines and I'm fair but I think I've had too many timeouts myself to qualify. |

It's a chat moderator you want to become?
Forum mods have to abide by the same rules as all other members. If we break them we get banned too so I guess its the same for chat mods.
If you have a problem with any mods decision you can query it with admin. However if you get banned regularly it might be worth refreshing yourself with the rules to make sure you're sticking to them. |
