A girl I have been chatting too wants a hotel meet. She said she was going to send me her bank account details. I don't want to send her half the room money just in case it's a scam. What is the best way to go about it? Give her half the room money in cash when we meet? |

Can’t believe you would even think this is right. Meet first- social/Club environment and get to know each other a little. Why on earth would you even contemplate sending money to someone you don’t know. |

I was never going to send money. Just wanted opinions. I've already started to run |

There and to the left a bit |
I'm going to take a slightly different approach OP because it depends on a number of things - for instance how long you've been chatting to her - if it's a handful of messages over a relatively short space of time then I'd have my suspicions up but not totally rule the meet out. If it's someone you've chatted to over an extended period of time, got to know and trust quite well, and feel relatively certain she's not out to scam you (after all she might genuinely not be able to afford to wait for the money) then it's slightly different.
If you're not totally convinced she is genuine, suggest paying her in cash on the day and see how she reacts.
Or ask for a copy of the room booking before sending any cash at least.
Also worth considering paying via PayPal which may give you some recourse to getting your money back (you'd need to check).
Personally if I wasn't 100% sure someone was genuine then I'd walk away and think with my head not my dick |

"Don't be a mug. Always knock one out before you make decisions like this it'll make you think clearer."
Good point.
There was a couple on here recently that said they met another couple and paid cash for the hotel. They all fucked then the other couple said they wanted to stay in the room a while but the first couple left.
The next day they found out the couple that stayed had actually checked out the night before but demanded a refund and pocketed all the cash. |

"I gave her/him the bad news. I have now been supposedly reported for time wasting when I didn't actually confirm I was meeting. "
With admins past records when people have reported, I doubt you have much to worry about |

Time wasting, IMO, is when you agree the date, time and venue and then you don't turn up, so I wouldn't worry too much |

If I was unsure, i’d say i’d pay and offer to give your details and see how she reacted. Of course no one wants to book a room and the other party doesn’t turn up.
I was very lucky once, well sort of. I had a meet, he insisted on paying and when it came to the day he had an emergency (genuine). He insisted I still stayed as he had prepaid the room and couldn’t get his money back. Had a nice little evening.
