So I know this is a bit of weird one to put on this site but I figured there's a lot of people with a lot of different experience and knowledge, so basically I want to find a career working with animals, but have no idea how to get into it, any help or advise would be appreciated |

What kind of animal do you want to work with? When I was first interested in working with dogs, I volunteered at kennels, shadowed other trainers and took every dog related course I could find before I went for my degree. |

Is there an agricultural college near you? They run a wide variety of courses from fisheries management to veterinary nurse courses. You'd get some good advice there. |

I've always wanted to work with dogs, cats and other household pets, a pet is like a member of your family and it's hard to take your dog to a kennel if your moving house or going on holiday or something, a lot of trust is needed, I think looking after peoples pets would make me happy |
