My Ice Castle! South Wales

I made someone smile today by falling over and hurting myself. They thought it was hilarious.

I went to work with a smile on my face after a great sleepover meet last night

So I came home from work yesterday to find that someone broke into my house. Looking around, it seemed like they didn't really take a whole lot. My TV was still there, my PS4, and my legos were fine. But the apartment was dark, even when I tried to turn on the lights. Seems the only thing that was taken were my lightbulbs and a couple lamps...I was delighted.

Yes I have, one of my residents has bad knees and walks constantly, I’ve encouraged her to sit down with me today and we’ve had a good laugh and before I left she gave me a cuddle and said ‘your my best friend’. I walked out of there with a massive smile on my face and hers too (it’s a shame she lives with dementia so unlikely she will remember tomorrow)

Man goes to see his Doctor ...

Man - doctor I have a rather embarrassing problem

Doctor - Well you going to have to tell me or I can’t help.

Man - Well, it’s just that I have a very sore penis.

Doctor - Well I’m sure that I can help. To start I would recommend you stop masturbating.

Man - Why, do you think that would help?

Doctor - I’m not sure, but it would at least allow me to take a look at it.

BOOM BOOM

I've had a bad few years.

Have you got people you can talk to?

No. My family is ok. But I don't really open up with them and I've never really had any close friends. I've always been the stubborn type to sort stuff out myself and not rely on others.

I find opening up really helpful, but I realise it’s different for everyone. I hope you’re feeling better soon.

It would be helpful if I actually had someone to sit down and talk to. And I don't want a doctor microanalysing me.

You may act the idiot on here. But don't be ashamed to talk. Trust me "

"Yes I have, one of my residents has bad knees and walks constantly, I’ve encouraged her to sit down with me today and we’ve had a good laugh and before I left she gave me a cuddle and said ‘your my best friend’. I walked out of there with a massive smile on my face and hers too (it’s a shame she lives with dementia so unlikely she will remember tomorrow)

"Have you made someone smile today?

Oh. Shall I tell you a joke?

Sure

So I came home from work yesterday to find that someone broke into my house. Looking around, it seemed like they didn't really take a whole lot. My TV was still there, my PS4, and my legos were fine. But the apartment was dark, even when I tried to turn on the lights. Seems the only thing that was taken were my lightbulbs and a couple lamps...I was delighted.

Didn't make me even smile slightly. Sorry.

Tough crowd

Its not you. I've just been really down lately.

Have you tried seeking help?

Don't need help. Just need something to go right for once.

Things get better. We all have bad periods.

I've had a bad few years.

Therapists and Doctors don’t microanalyse. They listen. Sometimes that’s all you need. "

That's not the case. It may have felt that way but they're not there to "fix" you, you're not broken. They are there to help you find a way to accept yourself and be happy with that.

There are also a number of charities you can contact if you just want to talk without it feeling medical.

Well now you have got a clue.

Go take some smiley selfies.

Go, do it now, im off to eat my dinner and I expect to see smiley pictures onyour profile when I return

I don't know about that. I really hate my smile.

FAILED!!

You are given honest answers and opinions, offered advice and you just do nothing.

Nobody is going to do any of the things suggested that may help FOR you. You have to take ownership and help yourself.

Im disappointed for you.

"

I've had people online help me before and they say my smile is great. But it looks so weird to me.

"I sent someone special an early birthday present which she received today. I think it made her smile as much as I had hoped it would. And that made me smile.

So it’s been quite a smiley day!

Hhhmmm......I see a link here. Good on you! "

And then this thread made me smile some more.

Plus the sun is shining.

And new episodes of Queer Eye have landed on Netflix.

If you asked in a cafe, you’d get a full English breakfast. Anywhere else you’d get a smack in the pus.

I had a child phychologist for almost all of my childhood. I know how they work. They just keep looking for something wrong with you. And try to put you on meds.

That's not the case. It may have felt that way but they're not there to "fix" you, you're not broken. They are there to help you find a way to accept yourself and be happy with that.

There are also a number of charities you can contact if you just want to talk without it feeling medical.

My family is genetically stubborn.,

Stubbornness is not genetic it's a choice. You are the only person who can change things so being stubborn is your choice and the consequences are yours.

My mum is the same as me. My grandad and nana were the exact same. "

If I can just say something to you fella;

I understand what you’re feeling, there’s a great deal of negativity coming from you and in general you seem very down on yourself. As has been said before; it’s up to you what you do, you make your choice as to how you behave, not your parents or grandparents.

If you’re feeling down there are a lot of people that can help, the Samaritans will listen with no judgement and with no medical aim.

I would suggest that you work out what you want, if it’s help then seek it.

You’ve been lucky tonight, I’ve seen many guys like you torn to shreds on forums before now.

I’m not trying to be a dick, I sincerely hope that you find help and get to a better place. If you need to talk my DMs are open. Look after yourself
