were looking for a smart phone for a 13 yr old girl.
It has to be payg and on orange as thats all that works here...nothing silly priced just needs to do what they do, and be cool with her friends.
any recomendations at all?.
thanks |

im getting the xperia play as my next phone. i`d defo recc it if you had a boy =p
currently on a san fran and love it. plus if ur 13 yr old is up on stuff like that, it has a massive developer community behind it thats constantly dishing out software for it. including custom roms of the latest androids which it doesnt "officially" support |

"Samsung Galaxy S2 is on my upgrade list, very good reviews from a lot of people too."
I have this but on pay as you go it's a bit expensive. I'd try the Samsung Mini, its good and a bargain for a 13 year old shell love it. |

If your after something as an intro to Smartphones, the Vodaphone Smart is about £60, runs Android 2.3.
It is a tad small, and dont ask it to do too much at once as its not highly powered, but if it gets lost or stolen its not like £400 in the hole for a HTC thingimibob.
They have the Voda Smart in Tesco if you want to take a look at one on PAYG. |

as a payg phone that would be expensive... I would have suggested a 4 or even a 3gs to be honest..... |

The OP doesnt want to spend a fortune..and I cant see the point of spending 35 quid a month on a glorified photo album that lets you make calls as a bonus.
OP...I really would bare the cost in mind too...because the majority of kids end up wrecking the phones in no time at all.. |

We'd never recomend the fruit phone and would stick with an Andriod, having used both HTC and the fruit phone we'd always stay with the HTC, it allows you to be able to do so much more rather than being stuck with a bad A**** .. lol

okay... since that is what she wants I would have suggested something like the Blackberry curve.... i think that should be within the price range...
i would still be tempted to take her into the shop and show her a htc wildfire as well... and then get her to choose..... |

all the kids have blackberry curve 8520's now days, they get free blackberry messaging so saves on text messsages, i think thats why they all like them, you can send text, pics and music to your mates who also have a blackberry for free |
