Yeah, I think mines right. Work doesn't penetrate my life outside of it. I work my contracted hours, rarely more.

I make sure I have something to do after work so it makes me have the balance. I used to work all the time and it was horrible

I think that generally it's on our right. I work 8 - 5 ish monday to friday. I get loads of time to spend with Anita PLUS I play in two bands, and help run a bi-weekly jam session, cycle about 100 miles a week and manage to get some swinging fun in most months... not too bad I think

I'm kinda finished a project I had going, my contract doesn't end til August. I'm making the most of the balance being in life's favour.

.

I work a lot more overtime these days then I ever have but that's because I have things to spend my money on, My social life also I'm currently trying to save more for a mortgage,

But if my employers would let me work a 4 day week I would,

Having a 3 day weekend would make up for the 1 day less in my pay packet.

Mine is perfect

I changed jobs last September to work in a small call centre, previously worked as an optical dispenser. I reduced my hours from 42 per week to just 25, working 8-1. My take home pay is about the same and my stress levels are much lower.

Customer service face to face is so much harder than what I do now. Being nice to a cockwomble who can’t see the hand gestures and facial expressions can be very cathartic at times

I changed from being self employed a few years ago as the hours i was working was killing me and i was grumpy a lot of the time. I've got it right now. I work when the kids are at school and never bring it home with me. I'm a much happier person because of it. Life isn't worth the stress.

Yep, but I have an incredibly busy period in the second half of the year coming up, so I need to make sure I maintain it.

I’m trying to get a better balance. But opening a new business 18 months ago means the graft has to be put in. Plus trying to run a home, look after kids/ dogs etc means very little time for us

Thanks for asking, I work between 1pm- 2pm and have an hour for lunch. So I think I’ve got the balance right.

Mine's just rubbish at the moment, but I can't blame it just on work, it's been a pretty rubbish year and I spend my life running round after others atm. I can't even fit a holiday in this year, I'm definitely having two weeks in the sun next year and it's only the thought of that which is stopping me flaking out now.

Leeds + Newcastle

I work a hell of a lot more than I play and my work life balance is skewed that way but as the company is my own, I go the extra mile.

Partially to win more work to pay my team but also to live how I want to live when I'm not at work

I'm happy with this, cos I couldn't face working for other people again

Mine is normally pretty good, but work has a tendency to throw a random late day at me like today, and whilst I would have been happier at home celebrating with Jayne as she landed a job, I was stuck in work and didnt get home until 7.45pm.

As much as I don’t like my work infiltrating my outside life, it always does. My job I’m kind of always ‘on’. If I’m in a shop I’m not just looking for me but looking for something for my residents to do or wear, always looking for new activities on Pinterest etc.

Tonight for example, I helped a resident to get a new bit of tech kit and I couldn’t work it out, so called in tech support (ads) dragged him into work to sort it out for me, he’s still doing it now but at home lol.

I haven’t worked since the end of January .

I don’t think I will work again , or at least not for a while as I have enjoyed the lie ins , the fact there is no stress , and I can do pretty much what I want when I want .

To me the hours are fine, it's the company I work for are the problem. I hate it.

There's a plus coming up though, with a minor op coming up shortly, I will have it then move on, so as not to start afresh with any overriding issues.

I'm at an age where I need to be earning more than I currently do, and stick some away regularly, my current job does not allow me to do that.
