How far would you realistically travel for a meet?

Would you expect a full blown encounter or a social meet to begin?

Solihull

I guess it's not the same but I travel over a big area for work so distance isn't an issue.

And at least it's not a wasted trip if it's a no show.

Happy to accommodate as I would be in a hotel

I've travelled from Leeds to Gravesend before today. There was a lot of discussion and everything what was going to happen was very clear, and I was obviously stopping a couple of nights. If it were just a social meet, I would have arranged to meet somewhere that was easier for me to get to, and convenient for her to get to. If the journey is a big one, to somewhere that isn't that easy to get to, I would expect something to happen, but the wouldn't do something like that on pure presumption

I once travelled to Derby for a stay over meet. So was worth it.

Nowadays I only travel within London. Shame when I see nice profiles from out of London, the long distance travelling is just off putting for me.

I have travelled from north wales to london before now..

We had met before so it definitely wasn't a social and was definitely worth the journey

I went from South Wales to Hull, we did exclusively date for 18 months after it before distance and money made it too hard. He still speaks to me today though and that was 5 years ago.

I travel to clubs all around the country, but wouldn't travel outside my city for an initial one-to-one. Once met and attraction established, it's a different story.

We usually only travel no more than an hour or so

As for expectations only ever a social although 99% of the time it ends up being a full blown meet

I don’t mind traveling to meet people, social or otherwise. A couple of hours is fine by me

I travel to clubs and parties all over but would usually only go around a hours drive distance for a meet. However occasionally I can be swayed and I'm traveling 3 hours very soon

We don't like travelling, or people travelling to us, a long distance for a first meet and we haven't previously met.

Regardless of what people say it carries an air of expectation.

Wherever necessary. Travelling is fun, seeing new places is an adventure. There's no upper limit here.

I’d be happy to travel, I guess about an hour or a wee bit more. And it depends on the circumstances. I have one Fab friend I would travel 500 miles to see.

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

I have done Liverpool to Pontefract a few times - about 1& 1/2 hours there, played, 1 & 1/2 hours back - it is always worth it as he is gorgeous

Ponte? He must have been. I had an eight month relationship with someone from ponte, and I think the only exciting thing there is haribo

Coventry

I would have travelled nearly anywhere for the right person. I love travel and any excuse to travel. Although free time for this was always a huge limitation. Thus people in a few miles of me has always been more practicle. Of course it would have to be to spend some quality time with someone/s I'd formed a good rapport with and had great conversation with.

I went to Boston last month to meet a girl I met with travelling round Jordan. So about 3000 miles.

She flew in from Los Angeles, so it seemed fair.

I so wanted to be the first to say Preston.

I've travelled from home to Manchester for a social, that was over 200 miles.

No expectations, no obligations.

I'm a people person, love meeting new people and nattering....

My Ice Castle! South Wales

Aylesbury is the furthest so far and that was for a play meet.

I've had someone come from Ipswich before now.

500 mile + round trip every few months. To Preston funnily enough

I’d do it every week if I could. She’s worth every mile

"How far would you realistically travel for a meet?

Wow - if the opportunity was there to meet you, I’d happily travel to Preston!

I travel all over the country with my work, so you never know, one day you might not be that far away!

I’d travel up to an hour, maybe 90mins, for a social meet. I’d see that as a reasonable ‘commuting’ distance should that become a regular and more intimate liaison.

I would travel considerably further for a one-off, red hot meet with someone that I had developed a great rapport and a mutual desire - but that hasn’t happened yet, lol.

I suppose, technically, I’ve travelled 450 miles for one. Sort of.

If I was chatting to somebody, and we got on well enough, well... the island we live on isn’t THAT big, really.

My God! What is with Preston!

Furthest I travelled was Sunderland. It was a bad idea.

Someone used to come to me from 80 miles away for about a year- then 130 miles when he moved. But that was a relationship.

I travelled 100 mile round trip for a social recently- worth it x
