MANCHESTER

Hey guys,

Getting bored of drinking to get pissed so this weekend I tried out some non alcoholic beers, park walks and generally other things then just going to the pub to socialize (vanilla).

Anyone else try non alcoholic activities? What do you do? As well as naughty stuff...

Brighton - even Hove!

I don’t drink much anyway - one bottle of real ale per week does me. I do loads of things but to relax I watch films and read books.

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

I am giddy enough drinking water so I don’t need alcohol to have fun....

We do loads of things but rarely drink alcohol. These range from swimming to upcycling furniture.

Is there anything you're interested in or could become interested in?

Worthing

Go to gigs. I got fed up of going to the loo after a while so stick to water. Much better and never miss any of the music.

Slough Windsor ish

We very rarely drink. Cheffy likes a pint or two at the rugby club and I will usually drive. We certainly never drink at home and never at a club either... we prefer to be sober.

There's an few things already I just don't wanna think I have to be drinking to do them.

Like I enjoy gaming but I also enjoy walks, I could do gym but I think it would be more an solo thing to do? Rather then it being social?

I suppose I could go and be in the company of people but focus on what needs doing.

Tbf I’m a big social drinker, but I still have an endless list of things I do regularly that don’t involve the boozer. Camping, mountain climbing, various sports, in the National trust and English heritage.

Although I have no shame about going the boozer to socialise, it’s as “vanilla” as you make it, some of the funniest, most intresting, momeroable Times I’ve had have been in some dodgy boozer.

I go for walks in the country and visit castles...not so much for the history-tho that is interesting-but for the photo opportunities...the exercise is goid too.

Have a look at meet up dot com. Loads of social stuff going on in most places. Interesting and quirky stuff too. I nonetheless load of groups in Manchester and the NW definitely.

Instead of gym why not bootcamp or exercise classes where it's a group activity?

Have been pondering this too lately as continously find myself doing most things solo.

Really want to open my social circle but with no drinking involved but not sure where to start? x

Same as above. Most towns and cities seem to have social groups via meet up dot com. No I'm not on commission lol.

Anything from gigs to art galleries theatre gaming knitting walking meals out and more.

Have a look. And if nothing appeals you can always set up your own group!

Good luck!
