I know they’re like marmite but I have one and I’m looking to get another so just curious as to people’s thoughts on them as well as their favourite styles and placements.

And if any of you are professional artists I would like to discuss an idea of mine

I have one, I think they are tattoos are good as they show individuality. I,m not keen on neck ones though or hugely tattooed persons. I am going to get another one soon.

Me too but I’m in desperate need of someone with the artistic side that could put my ideas into a nice piece

"Both of us have tattoos, love them "

I noticed i do like when each tatt pops individually, some seem to merge into one big tatt with no focal point

I have a few ... Love body ink , don't really care what anyone else thinks about them , and I will be getting more.

Only place I wouldn't have tattooed is my chest and neck .

I can understand that. Placement is key!

I have a lot and have had some nasty messages on here about them. It used to bother me, but now I don’t care what they think. I have them for me and because I like them, and if someone doesn’t like them, then I look to chat with people who do.

There will always be a problem with something that someone has, you have the right idea you just hit that delete button and make the site work the way you want it. Sod em

Some are nice. Some look like a child has drawn over flesh with a felt tip.

My three small ones are a bit rubbish but all have a story

I didn’t use to like them but grown to like them and I like their story they tell.

I don’t know why but a rose tattoo on a girls thigh drives me wild

Definitely addictive! I am torn on the size for the next one, i do find thigh tatts on a woman are attractive providing it’s well done. Having said that though I love a nice set of legs to begin with so I’m bias

Do whatever you decide don’t let someone away your opinion once it’s on it’s pretty much impossible to get gone besides hours and hours of laser removal, i Lost count of how many I had after around number 25 lmao I plan and will have more in future

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

I am at the stage now where I can’t count how many I have...they are all intertwined ...it’s more thighs, arms, legs, back rather than one flower, one star

I’m (Tiger) fairly heavily tattoo’d, as far as I’m aware I’ve only been one persons ‘type’ on here because of them, not had any negative reactions to them from people on here, but then again it is mentioned in the profile and there are visible in our pics, so if someone’s not interested because of them I probably wouldn’t find out anyway.

In general I to get people ask “Are you in a band” - which is the look that I’m going for! Lol

I personally love tattoo’d (and pierced) women

i can relate, I only have the one but I think the way I dress must give off That impression too. Military or chelsea boots, leather jacket and often a hat these days as well as either skinny jeans or tattered/torn looking ones. Only band I’m in is my one man band called 1023mb but I’ve not had any gigs yet

As the popular internet meme says ‘A neck tattoo used to say “look out I’m a badass” now it says “I’d like to read you some poetry about my vegan bicycle”’

I have some, but nowhere near enough. I hope to change this, this year. Unfortunately, it isn't to everyone's taste, and I understand why people wouldn't like heavy coverage. But it's what I love, so I am going to immerse myself in it

If you love it you have to go for it. The best part is people who do like them can find them easily enough

It’s a nice profile to look at. Highlights all the nicest places too, draws the eyes well so definitely doing something right

Indeed. My artist charges £60 an hour though which is pretty good these days, the one I was thinking of having would be over a grand though

Slough Windsor ish

I love them, I have 7 and am desperate for number 8... a lighthouse with waves crashing on rocks around it to fill my right thigh. The tattooist I go to charges £70 an hour and wants to finish my 7th (a curvy pin-up style Aerial from The Little Mermaid - she just needs some water and spray around her and maybe a Sebastion too!) before starting the 8th.

That sounds pretty cool. I want the right side of my torso as a chesplate and chainmail with my family crest on it. I don’t do half measures haha

Go do it!

I genuinely cannot resist the buzz and pain. It sends me almost into a "sub-space" type euphoria. Its addictive.

I don’t have a grand to spare at the moment: spent it on an unexpected flight to the states and by the time I get back at the end of the month I’m going to be about broke haha

Go big or go home! Lol

The only thing I regret about my tattoos is getting small ones when I started getting them (all but one have since been covered up)

My first and only thus far was 3 1/2 hours. Slept the first hour and twenty mins then just chilled out to some music for the rest. Only part that hurt was the whiting around the edges. That bled a fair bit. Definitely not a small one though

I have two tattoos, one on each thigh! I designed them both myself and they both have meaning to me.

Meaningful tattoos are the best ones as they tell a story.

Indeed. Less chance of regretting it if it’s part of your life story, unless you go get someones name. Think there’s few situations where one should even consider that.

Known a few People who have had their partners names put on them and they split up. I wouldn't have a name on me unless it was a tribute to a loved one who passed or a child.

My latest one took 5 hours and has no personally meaning behind it.....just thought it looked pretty good.

Turned up, the artist drew on me with a sharpie and then tattooed over it

Art is art is art. Deeply meaningful or not, a well done tattoo is something to be cherished.
