This has bugged me for a while. Why do some people not put their location on their profile ? So it'll say something like.. "near you", "kinksville" etc. It's such a ball ache when you get a wink.. then 2/3 messages in they turn out to live miles away.

I suspect it's because they change their postcode and hop around the country seeing who's eye they catch.

I tried to make mine as easy and obvious as possible. It doesn’t stop the ‘where do you live?’ types from contacting me.

The female half of a couple I had been due to meet sent me a very long abusive message, calling me a fake, having a go at me for wasting their time and a load of other shit. Because I had changed my location to rainbow valley for a bit of fun. XXX

It tells you how far away they are by miles.. poss only a feature for site supporters tho

I don’t name my location because it just creates a shed load of “I’m only x miles away” messages, as if geographical proximity was a knicker dropper.

I appreciate some people wish to keep it private but it gets on a double G's when my profile clearly says Sheffield and that I won't meet anyone outside that then someone messages me who lives in outside of that and I don't have a scooby where they live!

I live in a village I have no desire to tell people what the village is called.

People can click on my profile and see the mileage to see how far away I am

We have stated the area we are in but it really doesn't matter as nobody is ever going to be invited to meet at ours or in our area. People asking where we are are told the location of the next club we are going to and when we will be there.
