For me its because they tend to have a similar sense of humour, dark and dry, that and that overwhelming sense of pride and duty.

My boy is a soldier.... im extremely proud of him. (Id hate to think of him on here though )

When I heard local police were pulling cars over in a certain place I almost drove by to try my chances, police uniform turns me on badly, especially with body armour and all the bits and pieces.

Along with them being authoritative and heroic I'd melt!

My other half looks amazing in his uniform. Greens used to do it for me. But niw i prefer him in his blues as i dont see him in them as often.
