If i put a 2 stroke 80cc or less petrol engine on a push bike cood i ride it freeley or wood i need a licence ?
Anyone dun this or thort of doing it ?
Fed up of rideing up hills.

UK ebike definitions and the law. ... Your steed is an “electrically assisted pedal cycle” (or EAPC, or ebike, or Pedelec) if: the bike has pedals that propel it; the electric motor won't assist you when you're travelling more than 25 km/h (15.5mph); and the power doesn't exceed 250 watts. |

anything propelled by a motor even an electric one requires a licence , mot , tax , lights indicators etc etc etc |

You can buy an electric kit to retro fit onto a push bike, NO license required.. however in the UK you are limited to 250W power and a max speed of 15.5 mph
You can also buy kits which exceed those specs but you *can't use them on the road (*nudge nudge wink wink)
