I get a really bad come down from pre workouts however I’ve never found anything as good as old craze before it was banned due to have banned substances in it!

C4 has a great comedown. I got a girl at my gym to try some of mine because she had the same issue. She uses it now.

"Sex on pre workout

Pre work out does nothing for me. Well, I lie, It makes me feel nauseous.

I know plenty of people that love it but it's definitely not for me. It usually tastes grim too.

I stick to a coffee with a small meal with a mix of simple and complex carbs with some good fats thrown in. That's before exercise.

Pre sex I find that I don't need anything to get me going if I have the right people with me.

This sounds like quite a stupid thing to do, a lot of people have undiagnosed heart conditions so surely this could be seriously bad or even fatal for them?

Its just loads of kinds of caffine and other things to make you work harder and keep you focused.

Sweetheart, at your age if you are requiring that kind of chemical assistance to work out, train harder, stay focused or worse, have enjoyable sex, you are going to be fucked (in the non literal sense!) before you hit 35!"

Its nothing to do with that. Imagine talking 5 energy drinks before going to the gym. You'll be really hyper and wanting to do everything.

For people who don't go or have no interest in going to the gym, then it would be quite tricky to work out because it wasn't explained properly

Its sex on pre workout. Unless you've never taken it I can understand why you wouldn't know.

Not if you have heart issues.

Heat attack central. And not a dig at age.

Its basically there to give you the energy of 10 black coffees

This sounds like quite a stupid thing to do, a lot of people have undiagnosed heart conditions so surely this could be seriously bad or even fatal for them?

Fairly difficult when the op is not explained very well. A mind reader I am not.

Its basically a load of drugs put together to give you an intense energy in the gym. Train like a bastard my tutor would say.

What kind of drugs? So you're putting this stuff in your body to make you work harder? So you put drugs inside your body, but that's ok because you'll work harder which makes you look better on the outside. I don't get it.

Its not like an actual drug. Its natural stuff that gets mixed together. Some call it drugs others call them ingredients. Its all safe.

Oh ok."

I understand the confusion of when people mention taking drugs. But caffeine is a drug.

No, I wouldn't try that. Being able to go like a Duracell bunny doesn't neccesasarily make for good sex, I'd rather have someone be in the moment, and be in the moment rather than hyped up on some concocted stimulant.

I haven't got heart conditions, but my friend does, and it lay undiagnosed for 24 years. My point was lots of people will be in the same scenario as my friend, she'd had medicals and it wasn't picked up on, there is no family history of heart conditions so it would never have been picked up on by a PT in a gym possibly recommending high caffeine supplements.

The point is, any PT worth their Salt isn't going to 'recommend' these products. However, they may let them know that they are available and what they do (since most gyms stock them and have sponsorship with the brands.)

They are a popular supplement in the fitness world.

The products usually have a 'speak to your GP' warning on too.

I wouldn't say they were promoted really but I can't speak for all gyms or PTs.

The gym I work from doesnt promote them unless you count a poster on the toilet doors?

I certainly don't promote them, I wouldn't take a sponsorship deal that required me to promote them either.

Not because they are dangerous or anything but just because I feel they are optional and I opt not to use or recommend them.

If a PT has a sponsorship with a brand that has a wide pre workout range, the will probably promote it. Doesn't mean you have to buy it though!

Tingling/numbness in the face, lips, or extremities

Jitters

Cramps

Headaches

Flushed and red skin

Trouble sleeping

Itching

Anxiety

High blood pressure

Kidney damage

Chest pain

Heart muscle damage

Erectile dysfunction

Don't be surprised if you experience one or several of these given that you're taking in large amounts of caffeine and other stimulants.

Think I would give it a miss

Yeah, but just think about the awesome orgasms

If you survive that long lol.

Probably more going out with a grunt and a dribble but yours sounds better on a headstone

"Sex on pre workout

Done it?

Would you do it?

Pre work out does nothing for me. Well, I lie, It makes me feel nauseous.

I know plenty of people that love it but it's definitely not for me. It usually tastes grim too.

I stick to a coffee with a small meal with a mix of simple and complex carbs with some good fats thrown in. That's before exercise.

Pre sex I find that I don't need anything to get me going if I have the right people with me.

Eve. x

You was taking one that was too strong for you. Maybe go to half what you took.

No I wasn't, I'm a personal trainer and have tried many different varieties that my colleagues have recommended or that we stock at the gym. They're not for me at all. They make me feel sick and so I don't train as hard. I have tried various dosage methods too.

For those asking, pre workout is a stimulant similar to an energy drink. Usually more concentrated and may or may not have ingredients in for an extra 'pump too I.e makes the muscles appear larger when training.

It is completely legal and as long as you stick the dosage and you are healthy, they are safe to use also.

It is definitely not a protein shake. That is a a post workout drink containing protein, pre workout contains little or no protein.

Eve. x"

"Do we actually know yet what he refers to?

Sometimes its best just not to ask

This is probably one of those times

How is it hard to work out?

For people who don't go or have no interest in going to the gym, then it would be quite tricky to work out because it wasn't explained properly

Its sex on pre workout. Unless you've never taken it I can understand why you wouldn't know.

So, this pre workout shit, what is it and do we all need to rush out and buy some?

Not if you have heart issues.

Heat attack central. And not a dig at age.

Its basically there to give you the energy of 10 black coffees

This sounds like quite a stupid thing to do, a lot of people have undiagnosed heart conditions so surely this could be seriously bad or even fatal for them?

Ginger

Its just a powerful energy drink.

But you said yourself "not if you have heart issues. Heart attack central" So is it bad for hearts or not? "

Excessive amounts of caffine i.e more than your body can handle can lead to heard issue. But as you go by scoops you can get your dosage good for you

I don't think you are getting my point, heart conditions can lie undetected in outwardly healthy people, you talk about these things as though they are perfectly normal, how many people do you think will undergo heart monitoring prior to taking these supplements? I'd argue very few. We've had a PT state on this thread that she wouldn't endorse them, I don't know her but I'd go with her opinion on them.

I'm not a fan of putting things into your body you don't need, I don't like taking more than 2 paracetamol a month. I get you want to be fit but this approach seems quite short sighted with quick gains but long term you don't know the risks to your health, already shops are asking for ID for energy drinks if you look under 25, this itself shows that they aren't great for your body.

I'm just gonna leave it at this. Unless you've been to the gym and done a hardcore workout and crashed 3/4 through. You will never understand the benefits of taking it. The a person that thinks they workout at a hardcore intensity, will always be massively surprised at how hard they can really work.

Presumably if you knew what he meant, you knew he meant these enhancers? if someone didnt know about them, then 'pre workout' means just that...something before a work out...but with no clue as to what it could be anything...stretches, shower whatever!

For people who don't go or have no interest in going to the gym, then it would be quite tricky to work out because it wasn't explained properly how was it not explained properly ? I know exactly what he meant and I have no interest in the gym at all....that’s like saying because you have no interest in motorsports you don’t even know what a car is...... he didn’t have to explain anything it is what he said pre workout ? He shouldn’t have to teach basic English to get people to understand what he means (pre - means before.... workout - means exercise ) it’s as simple as 1+1 ???????? Think you are confused also. It’s not an actual pre- workout. Someone has explained what it is further up.

You didn't know either did you? Its ok... the OP just said "sex on pre workout"... we all thought he meant sex before the gym too.

You are confused people think its code for drugs because it was. Well kind of. Not real drugs. 'Natural stimulant ingredients' caffiene, taurine, ephedra and all that stuff that helps the OP, at his young and tender age, workout harder and stay more focused and seemingly perform better in the sack.

Its OK to take all that because its legal.

As a qualified PT it’s not something I’d recommend to someone with heart problems but to be sure ask your doctor

Ginger

Only a ct scan or a 24h heart monitor can pick that stuff up

Ginger

Your heart still works the same you just work harder. If they were gonna give everyone a heart attack or cause heart issues then they wouldn't be allowed sell them. "

But people with some heart conditions have to limit or stop their caffeine intake, it doesn't change just because they haven't been diagnosed, so I'd think the equivalent of 10 cups of black coffee could have quite a negative effect on someone with heart issues, diagnosed or not.

"I'm just gonna leave it at this. Unless you've been to the gym and done a hardcore workout and crashed 3/4 through. You will never understand the benefits of taking it. The a person that thinks they workout at a hardcore intensity, will always be massively surprised at how hard they can really work. "

You don't need them to work at maximum intensity or stop you crashing. If you're crashing your nutrition is wrong.

I agree. I work damn hard in the gym and have lots of men say I train like a guy yet I don't take it.

I make sure my nutrition is on point. I make sure my clients have all the information they need to ensure they have a great session too.

They don't crash until I allow them to.

You absolutely do not need pre workout to smash a gym session.

It's all safe, unless you have a heart condition or many other issues that you don't know about.

One of the drugs you mentioned earlier is taurine. That is not safe. Plenty of medical warnings not to take too much of the stuff.

Protein shakes are fine pre workout (although there is no medical evidence that it actually does anything). However the rest of the list are not good.

Ahh there it is. Drugs.

Just say no

Its just loads of kinds of caffine and other things to make you work harder and keep you focused.

Sweetheart, at your age if you are requiring that kind of chemical assistance to work out, train harder, stay focused or worse, have enjoyable sex, you are going to be fucked (in the non literal sense!) before you hit 35!

Its nothing to do with that. Imagine talking 5 energy drinks before going to the gym. You'll be really hyper and wanting to do everything. "

Which is bad for you.

No. Your body gets used to it so it doesn't take effect. You then have to up your dosage. Imagine it like taking pain meds.
