I doubt the person using the N word is a long term user. My advice to anyone talking to somebody who's only been here a few weeks is to treat them eith scepticism.

It goes without saying that the comments should be reported but I doubt the poster is still on here.

Yeah and although its "calmed down" a bit it is still there. To be fair more ethnic minorities have moved in in last few years. However it is still there now.

I liken it to driving insults. Dejected people will hurl the first obvious insult. Eg. Men may call women, stupid bitches etc. Yes it’s bloody unpleasant but thank you to those people for highlighting their own personality flaws. Sooner to see that on message than meet the idiots.

On the point of racism, I saw an article earlier about US actress Roseanne in trouble for making various comments. Seems she’s lost her job and several hundred other peoples, as her shoes being pulled. Nice to see that racism IS NOT tolerated but sorry for the bystanders who lost out.

My best friend is black. We went through the army together 23 years. Never was his colour a problem to any other soldier. No stupid nicknames nothing. On a night out it was a lot different. I dont know how he didnt hit those civilian idiots. Nicest bloke on earth.

I saw that earlier. I applaud abc for having zero tolerance of racism but feel that 'racism' wasn't in HER head but in the heads of those who want to make her comment racist.

I'm very happy for someone to point out to me why it's racist cos I truly can't see the link.

It may be hurtful and stupid but it's a reflection of the mindset of another, and someone who has just confirmed by their words why you wouldn't want to meet them.

But it's their problem not yours and no matter what you do or what you say it often will not change the views of others.

So just let it go forget the negativity and remember that the world is still full of others who know your true worth...
