I personally don't have any as I don't like the idea of having something permanent on my skin. Having said that I find some very good especially if there is a symbolism involved in it.
Love the one Ben Fogle got ecently, a very tiny one on his wrist, which states the height of Everest, which he just climbed ! |

Tattoos are amazing.....if done well and fit the personality of the wearer.
I say go for it, if you find something that's really YOU. I'm still waiting to find the right one for me. |

Nobody can answer this question for you, it has to be your own choice. Personally I like the feeling of being inked, it's a nice sort of pain for me and I love the way a really good tat looks on someone. But the choice as to whether or not YOU should get one cannot be answered by anybody but you |

Why would you consider what is fashionable when getting a tattoo? |

You need to remember a tattoo is for life so it should be what u want and not wat people like. All my tattoos were well taught and personal to me. So if going ahead get something with meaning and not just a random holiday tattoo |

Not as popular as they were in the nineties.
Op, get what you want, and choose wisely, it’s permanent you know. |

Why do you need to get a tattoo?
No one can tell you to get a tattoo or not, your body your choice. If you want one and gave a specific design in mind that is personal to you then go for it. |

Because I was 16 when I had my first tattoo, didn't think about something meaningful just looked through the books for one I liked and that's how I had all my tattoos. Not had one for over 13 years. If I was to start having them now I'd go for stuff that I'd really thought about and liked. Back then I just kept going to the guy who didn't ask for ID. The majority of stuff around at that time was tribal stuff. |

I couldn't have a tattoo on me. I get visually bored quite easily. Also, I jumped on a needle when I was a kid, so I'm not a fan of needles or sharps of any sort.
I have seen some rather nice tattoos, and have no hesitation in complimenting the wearer on their choice of design.
It's just not for me. |

I have 2 tats like a previous poster one documents my time spent running around in a green suit play soliders the other has another personal reason.
If you 'have' to get a tat make sure it has meaning to you. Discuss it and dont be scared to tweek the first design if you do t like it |

Asking others is not the way forward... do it for you, have what you want and understand its for life.
I currently have the urge.... its like an addiction. I have 7, longing for another to the point every spare moment is being spent researching images and flash.
I want a lighthouse, on rocks, sea spray, stormy scene....full thigh.
So far the design is around £400... its not a decision im taking lightly. |

My next one will be roses round my right ankle as a memorial for my miscarriage. It's possibly tacky to a lot of people but I've been thinking about it for 17 years lol.
Please think about what YOU want before getting one OP. It's your body and your decision. |
