Well, should we?
We've been here before but the issue doesn't appear to have been resolved, I'm talking about Fab subscription fees.
For me it's a bit of a paradox, I'm happy with the fee but no longer sure of the real point because I could post to the Forum and send messages even if I didn't upgrade.
The comments on the ghosting thread has prompted this, I know subscribers could still ghost but I'm sure maybe a higher fee would reduce it.
I'll be honest I have a vested intetest, anything that stops women having second thoughts about engaging with single men like me I'm all for.
Any thoughts, Fabsters?

I've made my view clear on this issue.
Definitely make it more of a commitment to become a full Fabber. That will deter many timewasters.
Fab doesn't benefit from the timewasters. If anything they damage the reputation of the site, make it less pleasurable for genuine Fabbers, and even put some people off re-subscribing.
Of course people will whinge about not wanting to pay anymore than the peanuts they currently pay, but that's not my concern. We'd happily pay more if the experience was improved by fewer timewasters. |

I think it would change the dynamics of the site and would restrict the membership in a detrimental way.
Many people join out of curiosity, some never join in but some do. If they had to pay to be here the curious ones are not gonna bother, the site would be mostly established swingers who already have experience and possibly a social network. I think the site would lose so many members and so much of it's open and accepting nature. |

Timewasters have money too..
Making people pay a fee will not deter them from paying |

Completely agree, I think people would be less likely to "muck about" if it actually costs significantly financially. |

There and to the left a bit |
From everything I've read about other fee paying sites they're no different and have just as big a problem with timewasters so I don't think forcing paid membership will make the slightest bit of difference to be honest.
I think the problem is there are too many people who don't take their time setting up meets and being as sure as they can possibly be that someone is genuine and will turn up by using a mix of common sense, gut feel and just generally taking their time to get to know people and have a "feel" for them which is exactly what I do and I've not had my time wasted once yet.
I know it's not foolproof, and there will still be times it occurs, but it would reduce it greatly if people took those simple steps rather than rushing into things - especially the single guys that find getting meets so difficult. |

I think that the curious, like I was initially, should be able to have a time limiting "look" to see if it's for them but then be asked to subscribe. And I'm sure "well they'll just rejoin again under a different user name" could be sorted by Fab and IT monitoring email addresses.

I'd rather genuine committed swingers than 'curious' any day. |

Not a bad idea.
If the 'curious' are that important, let 'em in but on severely limited access to stuff.
They can't view complete public galleries - maybe just one pic, can't access the forum or chatroom, can only send 5 messages etc. And if they don't commit, they get frozen out. They'd soon get fed up. |

I can't afford to pay more, so I would leave. I am not a ghost or a time waster, so why should I be booted off the site because you people think it should be exclusive?
Use your message filters to block all sorts with no pics ect x

There is a simple solution. If you don't want to interact with certain others then just don't.
Fab is not made in the image if those who think it should solely be for them or others they approve of.
Some people here sometimes seem to overdose on entitlement... |

I can imagine there would be more chance for abuse or a greater sense of entitlement if people had to pay fees to join here.
Can you imagine, what you don't want to meet me? But I paid £20 quid to join!! |

Other sites have the same problems no matter how much you pay for them, it’s the people on the site not the site itself that cause other people problems, how can you regulate that when some only come in to cam, some to chat, some to meet, others like myself for the forum only |

Exactly this. I've been on pay sites and the men were very entitled and wanted something for their money.
It's really easy to spot the ones that just want wank chat. |
