I read an interesting article about Ms Lewinsky and the Clinton incident from years ago.
She spike of how she was young, and hadn't established her own identity. As such it was hard not to accept the "horrible image of you,created by others."
Do you have a true identity you can return to,despite the words if others? What is it and who are you? |

When I worked at the college, I used to be somewhat bemused at how much care and attention the kids put into their hair, their clothes, how important things like the music they listened to etc were to them - and, on reflection, remembered I was much the same at their age.
I think when you're young, these things are so important because you're still figuring out who you are, and so these act as the medium through which you define who you are.
Then you get older and you know who you are and its far too much effort going through all that rigmarole |
