Apparently, it's a big scam coming from the Ivory Coast at the moment and the women the men are interacting with are video recordings. I don't know how the men don't know. |

Go to the police, although I've heard anecdotally that these things rarely come to anything. They're looking for the ones who pay immediately. If you don't pay they move on. Why waste time.
Hopefully that's the case with you, although I wouldn't know what the odds are.

These incidents have been on the news this week. The advice is to report it: the police are saying there are many more cases then being report - obviously it’s due to embarrassment.
