1973 when we joined the common market/EU. GDPR, yet more unnecessary EU legislation that we could all do without! Penned by interfering busy bodies in Brussels who want to stick their noses into every aspect of people's lives. The sooner we are out of the EU the better, Brexit can't come quick enough.

Are you sure it was 1973 as I can't remember the 70/80/90"s being PC and tied up with red tape etc

I’m quite happy this morning my inbox is rather empty! All those annoying mail shots from things I had no idea what my account information was has disappeared!

Geeky x

Was called the common market to begin with, with only a handful of countries and was primarily about trade. Morphed into what we now call the EU in the early 90's, and became a political union with new treaties being signed by our governments without having consent from the people. We've had years of this shit. The people finally got a say in the referendum in 2016, told the EU what we thought. Glad we're now leaving.

Brighton - even Hove!

I’ve gleefully not replied to any. They got more and more desperate as the deadline got closer.

Funny thing is they didn’t actually need to send those. They’ve shot themselves in the foot.

Privacy policy updates - yes but reaffirming consent for email wasn’t needed

actually have you read it ?

the new regs are to give the people back there rights with what happens with the info and also who gets to see them

if anything its an upgrade for the digital side of it more than anything

the added bonus is you can request a company or website to remove yourself from there data base

Thing is only the company with in EU have to comply, you would still get mails from some random companies outside EU, because they have sold all our PI to them.... This shit not going to change any thing.

Well GDPR has kept me in contracted employment for 12 months so I'm not going to complain.
