First prosecution of its kind, would it be the end of this type of behaviour or has he taken the biggest dump in a stable of horses?

By the number of allegations, one would think has he ever had consensual sex with anyone?!

Good point!

Hopefully it will make people think but I don't think the behaviour will stop.

I’d be very surprised if he hasn’t.

Dont think itl change anything, this kinda thing has always gone on in Hollywood, people trying to get into the business are often happy enough performing sexual favours to forward their career and people with power are happy to exploit that, for some its just part of the deal really

From what I've read so far, its all consensual.

FYI I fully believe the use of his power is completely wrong i am not defending him, but from what I've read, the women did consent.

If there is any claims that say otherwise, I haven't seen them and I apoligise

If he's tried and found guilty he should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law over there.

His career is over.

If he's tried and found not guilty his career is over.

I think this case is the tip of the iceberg, although the casting couch has been around for years, people are prepared to use both sides of it, some for sex, some to further their careers.

I think it's going to be hard to prove consent/non consent in many of these cases..... especially those that go back years.

"Has Morgan Freeman been accused of sexual harassment now? I saw a little something on Twitter but not anywhere else"

It's in today's paper, 8 accusations.

One of which seems to be Freeman telling some he'd like to spend an hour with a third person. That REALLY sounds like sexual harassment to me. If pointing someone out and telling someone else you'd like to shah them is sexual harassment most of the world's going to jail.

Not belittling the genuine claims here. ...

This is why I don't believe the press should name people in cases until proven guilty.

It is so easy to ruin a persons life with a lie and I would imagine its happened a lot.

I know why the police name names, it in the hope others will come forward and provide additional evidence. Which suggests they have a week case in the first place and also encourages the 15 minutes of fame brigade to come out.

Cliff Richard case in point.

Again, not to dismiss the genuine claims.

It would appear a lot of (UK) r**e cases are being looked into now due to the possibility defence material not being seen.

Is so, dreadful.

Trouble is, this is probably one of the most difficult types of crime to prove/disprove.

And one of the most vile to commit.

I saw a policeman on TV using this tactic as a justification for naming and shaming.

I understand the strategy but it doesn't sit well with me.

Same as naming the accused but keeping the victim's identity private.

Either or neither IMHO. And only name AFTER a verdict and not before.

I read the interview from the women who first came forward. She was heavily pregnant and he made quite creepy comments towards her. From what I’ve read, I’d hold back on calling it sexual harassment at the moment, but he’s been very inappropriate.

I used to work with two huggers, 1 male, 1 female.

One day they both greeted another member of the team with a hug.

The huggee had just come back from a diversity course.

Guess which one got reported for sexual harassment.

I get the feeling lines between genuine affection, genuinely innapropriate and straight up wrong are getting blurred.

See, I don’t think it’s that difficult to not be inappropriate. I’m a hugger and I’m having to realise I can’t hug everyone and so I don’t. Why you’d report someone though, I don’t know.

I hate people hugging me. I tell them not to. I couldn't give a shit if they think they're just being friendly.

Depends on the person doing it but if someone did it anyway even though I asked them not to, I'd be pissed off.

One of which seems to be Freeman telling some he'd like to spend an hour with a third person. That REALLY sounds like sexual harassment to me. If pointing someone out and telling someone else you'd like to shah them is sexual harassment most of the world's going to jail.

Not belittling the genuine claims here. ...

I don't either, it would appear some people now find a sincere and friendly non sexual hug to be sexual harassment though.

I tend not to hug now.....

I hate people hugging me. I tell them not to. I couldn't give a shit if they think they're just being friendly.

.......

Depends on the person doing it but if someone did it anyway even though I asked them not to, I'd be pissed off.

I think if you tell some not to do something you don't like, even if they feel it's an innocent gesture, but they still do it, it's now most definitely inappropriate.

That's a no brainer.

Yep sorry, I meant it as 2 separate statements.

.....

The people that hug without asking first. I hate that and I think it's inappropriate.

This is why I tend not to hug anymore..... unless someone approaches me to hug first.

I’m coming in for a big hug when I see you next!

This is not inappropriate.

July STP? "

Hopefully!

"Has Morgan Freeman been accused of sexual harassment now? I saw a little something on Twitter but not anywhere else

It's in today's paper, 8 accusations.

fife,

"First prosecution of its kind, would it be the end of this type of behaviour or has he taken the biggest dump in a stable of horses?

He'll be made an example off for sure.

Do we know if hes actually had none consensual sex with anyone?"

Would you call a stabbing non consensual surgery? It’s not non consensual sex.

I think they are going to struggle with jurors who are totally impartial.

You could say that of any high profile case.

The media don't make it easy for Joe public to remain wholly unbiased one way or the other.
