Do or say something nice to someone today, try and curb your sarcasm and spare somebody that extra minute and listen to them rather than talk yourself.

I know the girls love a bad boy, but I'm going to try and buck the trend, that doesn't mean blowing smoke up people's arse (which in itself doesn't sound like a particularly nice experience), but I'll try to be nice.

*holding back my sarcasm*.

I just want to give everyone a spiffing big hug.

Actually, we love nice men. It’s just that some aren’t as nice as they think they are

I'm fucking lovely. Even when I'm being sarcastic, cynical and taking the piss.

Do women really want a bad boy OP?

Do guys just want to get their dick wet?

Do we assume we know what others want far too often.

Is it just too easy to hide behind a screen and present ourselves in a way that so often gives false expectations...

So many questions

Do people turn on and off the be nice say something nice etc just to meet what they think is expected of them....

If we are true to ourselves accept that we are all complicated and not one dimensional then do we need to be reminded to be nice to others or do we do it because that's really who we are.

Btw OP. Hope you have a great day and everyone here today has the day that fulfils their every dream...

60% nice

20% spice

10% entice

10% left over just in case one needs a top up

Most women don't want a bad boy. They do want a man with a bit of character who doesn't use false flattery and faux interest to try and win favour.

When I told my mum I was divorcing my first husband her immediate reaction was "but he's so well mannered!" . Well that butters no biscuits when he's gambling all our money away and pathologically lying or in short being a bad boy.

I need to be reminded to pull my zip up after visiting the gents. , so yes, reminders help.

I always try to live my life by a code . If I can help someone I will . I’m at a stage in my life where I don’t need anything in return . I think the anonymity that this medium affords people is often used to be rude and vindictive sometimes hurtful . But away from this and in reality , think before you bite back .

Who knows what is going on in someone’s life when they are sat behind that keyboard . That’s just my ethos

I'm going to use this. Brilliant.

Sorry to read the first husband was such a douche.

Good call.

On reflection, I suppose it's not about being nice, but more about not being deliberately not nice, to throw in a double negative.

Kind is probably a better way than nice. Afterall you can't always be nice, is cruel to be kind actually a reality.

I can't claim it's my phrase I think the late, great St Victoria Wood used it in Dinner Ladies.

He was a douche lol but I'm so over it it's as if it was another life. Mr N and I have been locked in combat for over 37 years
