I have turned down a meet on the basis of a phone call, although it was also the fact that the conversation was like pulling teeth, as much as it was her voice. |

I have to admit it has done in the past.
More recently I decided to try and be less shallow and overlook the hint of Joe Pasquale tone someone had..... in hindsight I so wish I'd remained shallow  |

There is only one accent that grates on me but im fully aware mine may do the same to others so would try not to let it put me off
If they were totally whiny,and as arclight said the conversation was like pulling teeth.......yes that would put me off |

Same as someone said... The way someone speaks can and has been offputting, if its feeling forced or unsure even..
Accents?? Thats harder.. wouldn't say offputting but some are worse than others shall we say lol...  |
