It’s sunny, I fancy a drive in...

What’s the car you would most want to drive on a sunny day?

Or, if you have that car you like to make people green with envy say at the traffic lights and the temp is 98 degrees, what are you driving?

In the UK there’s nothing more appealing than a MG midget with the top down.

On the Pacific highway 101 please give me Mustang convertible.

I get the use of the following cars when I fancy something different

Mazda mx5

BMW 320 ci M sports

And a 89 Mercedes coupe sport

I do enjoy the Mazda.

I used to have a Mazda MX5

Great little car, alas it had to go after I nearly lost my surfboard!

I'd like to be chauffeured around in a big-ish car, that let in a lot of light.

I don't like meaty engines, as the vibrations through my chest make me feel strange.

Anyway...where was I?

Yes of course your allowed there's no fixed right or wrong but if your going for it say on a track obviously the best way is 1 hand on a rear grab rail and the other past the rider and pushing on the tank. That way you can brace on acceleration and hard braking. But obviously your way will always be just fine by me

I had a 1997 Alfa Romeo Spider in acido verde, one of only ten in the country. Black, manual roof and oh so sparkly.

I miss her but she’s now cruising the roads of Norfolk.

I’ve just been for a drive in my little Abarth 595...

It’s a 1.4 turbo with 165bhp

Makes mince meat of most cars at the lights... or just in general...

Little car + lots of power + country roads = Amazing time!

My current favourite car for that kind of fun would probably be the new Lamborghini Huracan Performante

But I’m happy with my little Abarth

I’m very lucky, many hubby bought me an mx5 when I was having my driving lessons.

I spoiled him this week, allowed him to drive her. We’ve had a couple of days away in Chester and decided that we wouldn’t go anywhere near a motorway. The drive home along the a51 this evening was lovely
