I’ve discovered a new king of dunkers and thought I’d share. Bite each end off a twix, or if you shop in Aldi like me use a Jive, suck your hot tea or coffee through it like it’s a straw, don’t worry it cools down before it hits your mouth and then eat the thing whole. The biscuit part melts in your mouth leaving the warm softened caramel for you to chew on. It really is dunking heaven.
Any other dunking tricks I can try. |

I thought Peter Kay’s sketch about biscuit dunking was comprehensive and I for one would never abide by a Rich tea as a biscuit of choice for a true connoisseur. |

It’s a sexy twix though! Who mentioned boring rich tea bics? |

There have been studies that show rich tea to be one of the much better biscuits for dunking. Interestingly, the hob nob ranked very poorly for dunkability.
I believe in a more recent study that the bourbon was named the best biscuit for dunking.
I think I need to get out more. |

"Is there a hole in a twix, how do you get the tea up. I really should try this"
As per the op you need to bite both ends off, go and have a go so you can give a second opinion. |

"I love doing that with Cadbury’s chocolate fingers
Yeah that’s where I got the idea but ten times better with a twix/Jive x"

No not really, the tea just filters through it, as long as you bite the ends off. Not much harder than you would a straw really. |

"This might possibly be my favourite ever thread on here....
Off to the corner shop to get a twix..... "
If you use a twix I’d cut them into two halves, I’ve only tried it with Jives which are about half the size of a twix. enjoy |

I do love a good bourbon. As for tea dunking....never!! Why sully a lovely cuppa with foreign bodies?? Deary me, no.
However, I am rather impressed at your sucking skills Mr OP. I think it may come in useful elsewhere |

Add a tut at the end and this is one of the most British thing I've heard. I like you. |

It’s really no harder than sucking through a straw but I’d happily demonstrate on your nipples if you like |

Well now I was thinking along the lines of an Ice Blast or something of that ilk. I mean they take some sucking at first!! But I like your idea too |

Can someone explain the bliss you seem to get from making a nice crunchy biscuit go soft. If I want something soft with my cuppa I'll have a nice slice of moist cake (which I'd prefer by the way) that goes nowhere near my tea either. Biscuits are made crunchy for a reason and it ain't dunking |

Not ideal for an office based dunk, methinks. The humble but perfectly formed ginger nut still rules in those realms |
