"It's certainly not what it used to be. I sound like my dad.... "
I was just about to post this.....apart from the dad bit.
It’s certainly going Americanised too, the FA cup used to be an all day event where you’d see the back story of how these teams and other teams had competed. The flags being displayed, cup brought on by ex players, fireworks, all started to look a little like the Super Bowl you not think? |

Total crap.
Take the World Cup for example, players don't play for the pride of their country anymore they play for money.
If they chose some players from the very bottom league football clubs, they would be honoured to play for their country and go and do it without being paid. They would damn well win too because they would be playing for pride with passion in their hearts and fire in their bellies.
Football isn't about a sport, it's a business, football has been ruined. |

"...played by millionaire mercenaries for billionaire foreign owners, there’s no loyalty in football anymore. True ?"
As apposed to earlier times of footballers being basically a slave owned by a football club ?
Where the club could sell him to who ever they wanted and/or even prevent him playing if the club did not release his Registration.
Get real. There’s never really been loyalty in football. Not by club owners, managers or footballers.
Those that do have loyalty are the very very very small percentage.

Yes. And no.
Terry, Gerrard, Carragher, Shearer and players like them have proved their loyalty over and over again.
They're not all like that, manoeuvring for a better deal, refusing to play unless they get the transfer they want.
Billionaire owners showing no loyalty to the people they hire......
