Like many of you , I watched the channel five programme last night The sex business . It was certainly graphic !

Anyway to my point . I’ve often wondered why gay and bi guys get such a bad rep re sti’s , and figured last nights programme may have answered my questions .

When the guy who was fisting the other guy and he bled all over the place , he was nonchalant about it . ‘ it often happens ,’ , he said . Well if I was often bleeding after sex I’d be a bit concerned for my sexual health , I don’t know about you lot ?

Ok , I don’t take anything up my arse , so I’m not likely to , but plenty do . Am I right to think that gay/ bi guys are more likely to get sti’s if they engage in the type of sex the guys in this show enjoy ?

I was thinking about the longer term implications for them. Surely it must eventually cause permanent damage and stretching to the point where they are incontinent?

I think that's why they are classified as higher risk, not only more likely to have more partners (like swingers), but more likely to engage in more risky sex with them.

I do think the presence of women tends to moderate male behaviour sometimes.

If he bled profusely, their doing it wrong. The most I have ever had was a couple of pink tinges in the lube. Play stops immediately and doesn't restart that day. To bleed as badly as you say he did, I suspect either a novice top who was too rough, not enough lube, going to deep to soon or a chemical fuelled session.

I can see why an STI would be higher risk for this activity, but if the top is gloved or just has no cuts or wounds then it isn't really much higher risk than any other sex act involving bodily fluids. If someone had a wound on their hand it wouldn't be going in me, just as an uncovered cock wouldn't.

Yes I'm sure he had a glove on.

If your doing it wrong and too violently then yes, you could damage yourself, both internally and your sphincter(s). I've been taking large toys and fists now for nearly twenty years and I'm not permanently damaged or incontinent. If you do it properly then its about the conscious control of your muscles as opposed to letting the subconscious do it. Its all in the breathing....and the lube.

Are there any figures/ stats about women going to get tested more often than men? Men tend not to bother going to the doctors unless their wanking arm is hanging off.

From my own experiences... I've always used protection when fucking (both sexes) and have never had a fist up my bum... and NEVER WILL!

Being bi doesn't mean we are all full of diseases!

Well I only asked about the likelihood of diseases IF these practices are what is done . Since you don’t , and never will , it’s not you I’m suggesting might be full of diseases !
