Obviously when I was a teen I would have much rather been playing with girls but alas, had to settle for video games mostly!

Which console was your most treasured possession when you were younger?

For me it was my beloved SNES, and my brother had a Megadrive so we had both bases covered!

While I love the old Nintendo stuff, it baffles me how a company can regurgitate the same thing for over 30 years and still manage to sell it.

Mario/Pokemon etc....the same thing over and over.

Sony changed the game with the PlayStation and Nintendo haven’t been able to keep up since.

Very first gaming computer I had was the spectrum 48k with rubber keys. Use to buy the games from Superdrug which were on tape. Then had to keep your fingers crossed it loaded or you had to rewind and try again. Still got it now along with a ps1, ps2 and a GameCube.

For retro value, the SNES is awesome. Some wildly good games. Platformers and two player was a big pull for gamedesigners. Even the graphics were really good. Remember dinky king country with pixel shading? SNES rules.

But modern consoles for graphics and community was the Xbox. Rainbow 6 and PGR2.

C64 ftw as a kid. PS1 saw a gaming renaissance for me. PC is currently the pinnacle of gaming performance and excellence, plus you can emulate all the old systems and relive days gone by. I game a lot on my phone because it's convenient. I am surprised how good some games are now.

How do we find time to play games, fulfil work life, family life, friendships, relationships and fabdom, not to mention the occasional fappenning?

The only console I had, if it can be called that, was my Mattel Intellivision (out the same time as the Atari VCS) before moving on to the Vic 20 and then C64. I still have them and some game cartridges and tap

es stashed away.

I remember that the games for the Intellivision were about £30 and Atari £20 even back then and I was always badgering my mum and dad to buy me them, so in today's money each game would probably have been almost £100 !

Even though Nintendo are as big as they are, I still find it hard to believe they don’t get the credit they deserve, I’m not a fanboy, I just think the xboxers or the Playgamers need to salute a gamesmaker that is ALL about the games, and not trying to stick blu rays or other things to make money.

Someone above mentioned how they can churn out the same games and sell in the millions. It’s simply because the game play is good. (Not all I agree) but what they do well, they keep on doing, and it works.*

*this does not apply to call of duty.

They persue different strategies. Nintendo is a proper business that actually makes money. Sony is all about market share and has barely made a dime from the playstation, they need to sell ~100m units of each playstation with their business model. Nintendo can be profitable at a fraction of that volume.

Remember the "Cyber razor cut" Megadrive adverts in the early 90's? They're on Youtube if you fancy a blast of nostalgia

"I was always a Megadrive nerd. I got top of the leaderboard on a mega drive tour

Brilliant. Loved that it had slightly more adult games than the SNES so my brother and I would play Mortal Kombat on his Megadrive all the time!

I used to love sonic, micro machines and worms

Now I'm the queen of Mario kart - I'm a big kid If there is a arcade near by- I won't lose

That's fighting talk! Without blowing my own trumpet too much I think I could take you on, and win!

Oh you wouldn't . And I bet my bitch can out race your boy too ner ner "

well I was looking for an online version where we all could play on it

as we cant have queen of mario saying shes beaten the rest

Yes! Only if I can go Gilius (hated Ax and Tyris' tiny swords!)

Great music on that game, I can play some on my keyboard.
