Of course it exists. I used to live in Bangkok and LA and there are agencies everywhere for it, especially in Thailand. I know someone who runs one. |

Yes it does. I spent many years working for a charity offering respite to people affected by H. I. V
It was a common thing for people to visit the UK and to get re diagnosed while here and to be offered treatment etc on the NHS. I just felt it was sad for those involved that they had to take this route because the anti virals etc were either not available or not affordable in their own country. It's a contentious issue and I am not biased either way, I'm just reflecting on my own experience. |

Yes it does happen and happens too often. The only solution is to withhold services to non UK residents who don't have insurance...Exactly the same principles applied by every other country should we get sick when we visit them. |

For EU countries we have an agreement where we claim the money back from their government- as they do with us
For non EUs we can always imsist on valid insurance, with a policy number, before you get through customs
You’ll have to ask the government as to why we don’t |

The difference is that any Brits travelling abroad pay the full cost of the services received .
The health tourists coming here pay nothing and cost the NHS up to 2 billion per annum.
We should only treat those who can pay up front or have a valid insurance policy . |
