It would be great if people had a quick read through the message before sending, to see if it makes sense. Spelling- I think most of us gets, eventually, pretty good at deciphering things. However, with grammar, the supposedly tiny mistake can completely change the meaning of the sentence. For example, using 'can' instead of 'can't'. Or maybe I'm just being really petty.

As for not putting in ' in a word such as don't, it's just another keystroke!

Provided it can be deciphered its fine. I do struggle when profiles are not punctuated with at least the odd full stop at the end of a sentence and the occasional paragraph though.

I agree, however grammatical errors I can live with. Text speak I cannot, people use dyslexia as an excuse. It's no excuse.

I'm dyslexic and don't have a problem.

As long as we can understand a message clear enough to communicate, we couldn't give a flying fuck about grammar. We're here to meet and hopefully "swing", not for an English lesson and to judge

If someone doesn’t care enough to spell check a message or understand the difference between ‘there’ and ‘their’ I really don’t want to entertain them. It’s very basic skills and off putting if they can’t even communicate coherently.

Using the wrong word is not the same as bad grammar though, is it?

Swapping can for can't could lead to some very awkward moments such as 'you can put it in my ass' instead of you can't put it in my ass'

BTW.... You totally can

Are you going to be communicating in writing when you meet them also? Some if the most intelligent people struggled with the written word.
