Harassment of swingers clubs

So, once again there's a local news report just out an hour or two ago up here in the North East after another police complaint against a swinging club up here... the article itself reveals a really worrying line... "had almost 20 police call-outs in recent years."

To be clear, this is a discussion on what can be done to try end the cycle of harassment and use of law enforcement to target swingers clubs....

20 call outs in how many years? Recent doesn't really tell you the whole story.

Who is getting harassed?

Is it any more of a problem than pubs or clubs? Not saying that any harassment is OK but articles painting swingers clubs as bad places need to be compared to 5he wider community.

I agree that 'recent years' is entirely subjective and doesn't give a definitive time period. Would also say you'd have to look at a comparison with other local pubs and clubs to see whether the call outs were excessive. At the same time, I know from years of reading various articles in a number of places that people do try to use the police in order to harass those engaging in consensual fun at swingers clubs.

How do you know that the callouts weren't justified?

Gloucester

So a woman of short stature entered the premises and a neighbour reported that a child had entered the club . Big deal .

The previous issues the club had seem to be kids banging on the doors and windows .

20 callouts since 2015 , and most of them teenagers being teenagers .

Much ado about nothing
