I shouldn't post this at this time of night as I will be going to bed soon, but by the morning I may lose my nerve!
In the last two years, my fat storage has increased drastically in my stomach area and I am sporting a horrendous 'pot belly' that I would love to get rid of, I look great in clothes but naked? I just look and go
What is the best way in tackling to try and get rid of this, bearing in mind I really do not need to loose any weight! I've tried doing searches but it is all about weight loss and at 7.7st (yes I have put on a few pounds) I don't need to loose weight I just need to try and tone up, so PLEASE add your suggestions and self help here, it will be greatly appreciated |

My Aunt has a similar figure to yours. Slim, but she had a pot belly. She started doing Pilates and it got rid of it completely by toning up. |

Try using a sports hula hoop its the best exercise ever as you only need to do 10 mins a day
My bmi went down to what it should be after doing that for 4 weeks |

Wake up in the morning and before breakfast go for a swift walk.
Cut down on refined carbohydrates. Bread, pasta etc
Lift weights if you can. Help keep or add muscle.
Use something like myfitnesspal to track calories.
Depending on your eating habit try time restricted eating. Have a 10 hour window where you eat then don't eat until the same time next day. |

Its almost impossible to "spot train" areas of fat away.
However, you can tone the muscle up, which will tighten it, meaning less of a "pot".
If you want to burn calories, use exercises that target the largest muscles in the body (upper legs, bum, and chest), and balance it with pilates or similar to strengthen the core. |

Brilliant! Thank you I had heard that but due to back problems I did put it off at the time and never bothered my arse looking into it again, so thanks for the reminder |

The honest truth is that you absolutely can not spot lose fat. Meaning that you could do an hour of Abdominal work everyday and you still wont tone up or lose fat from that area.
This is especially true for women as we tend to store fat around our reproductive organs and the tummy is always last time tone or flatten.
I would recommend full body workouts and HIIT style workouts using weights. Make sure your diet is on point too as that is where most people fail.
Do a couple of ab exercises at the end of each session.
I am a full time self employed Personal Trainer so do feel free to message me with any questions. I wouldn't charge for any advice but it's hard to be a full time self employed PT unless you know what you're talking about.

She also has awful back troubles and the Pilates really helps with that too |

You can’t just remove fat from one area it doesn’t work like that. But HIIT is one of the best ways to burn fat, the bonus is it carries on burning fat after you’ve finished the workout. |

Thanks Eve x
It seems to be the last 6 months I have become worse and I do think I have become lax in my diet as I used to be pretty strict with myself and just never realised just how lax I had become
How shocking is that, that you don't even realise that you have changed your own diet
Ok maybe a small diet is now on the table and I will try Pilates first so I don't put my back into shock and see how that goes |

I did hoola hoop as a team building exercise 2 years ago and back went into spasm (a horrendous thing to go through)
Is this the same thing? |
