Campanillas, Spain

I've just been watching a programme featuring cover versions and wondered what everyones favourite and worst cover songs are. My favourite Shindowns version of Lynard Skynards Simple Man and the worst ever Rolf Harris Stairway to heaven.

Manic Street Preachers cover of Rhianna's Umberella is brilliant, as is Sinead O'Connors cover of Elton John's Sacrifice.

Lately Bad Wolves’ Zombie has been on my list.

Also Highly Suspect’s version of Send Me An Angel although didn’t realise it was a cover until a couple of weeks ago!

Disturbed’s Sound of Silence is also worth a mention

Worst, anything by anyone boyband-esque!

Jerry Lee Lewis - Sunday morning coming down

Janis Joplin - Me and bobby mcgee

The worst is probably Rolf and Stairway

I heard that too, in the early days after Freddie died, they were looking to carry on and he did that cover at the memorial gig for AIDs (it's on Best of Queen 3). It never happened but let May and Taylor to keep going and get guest singers.

I'm actially glad it never happened though.
