Big deal! Anyone else like me who couldn’t give a shit one way or the other?

Will you be staying in and watching....or, like me, will you more than likely be out and about enjoying the weather?

I feel sorry for him. Press have stitched him good and proper as most paparazzi pictures are staged to a degree. I suspect she also now realises that the press are going to make her life hell in the coming years

Not into the Royals at all but from a woman's point of view, it's sad her Dad won't be there to walk her down the aisle. Wonder if she's beginning to have second thoughts.

I’m going to be watching! Can’t wait!

Do feel terribly sorry for her with the way things have planned out with her Dad. Whether he really has had a heart attack or not, seems a bit unclear. But yes I agree with comment above as much as she would have been told about press etc. nothing can have prepared her for this. I don’t envy her, it’s definitely NOT something I would be prepared to deal with for anyone.

I do wonder what members of the royal family and household think about Harry marrying her seeing some of the stuff in the press about her family.

At the end of the day they are a couple who are in love and want to spent their lives together.

I find it quite sad he won't be there. It is an extremely proud moment walking your daughter down the aisle on her wedding day.

Out of interest, does anyone else think it's a bit odd that Prince Harry hasn't met his future father-in-law yet?

If it was my daughter's wedding day I would need to be dead not to turn up, wouldn't matter who she chose.

Press are a pain in the arse (just ask swingfields) but it's only for a short time, anyone know what Edward is up to these days?

Nonsense. He stitched himself up posing for fake pictures which a pap then sold with his agreement. He was just greedy. Then he made it worse with the not coming/coming/heart attack story.

His son and his other daughter as worse. Selling stories. Writing books. Writing letters. Moaning about not being invited. Other more distant relations turning up in the UK, even though they do not have any wedding invites. Media outlets snapping them up to be "commentators".

The whole family are trash. An utter embarrassment to the Royal family. The wedding is now a tacky laughing stock.

The media are having a field day, waiting for the next hand-grenade to go off from these scumbags.

Harry has forgotten the 1st rule - never marry beneath you. The Palace must be apoplectic.

Hmm. I firmly believe we get the media we deserve. I also don't blame her father for making a bit of cash (if indeed he did). I only knew of this yesterday when I was packing to come home from holiday and turned on morning t.v. My initial reaction was "so what" and that hasn't changed.

I hesitate to call her family scrum bags or to suggest that Prince Harry is marrying beneath him. His family is hardly a beacon of high moral values and could never be called close knit.

I suspect the palace is rubbing its hands in glee. A mixed race commoner has increased the popularity of the royal family and the longevity of the firm which is their main aim.

I think Liz does a stand-up comedy routine twice a week at the palace, catered by Phil's Kebab Emporium. Charles does jazz poetry and Camilla chips in with a bit of pole dancing.

"I think they are wringing their hands in horror and disbelief.

This should have been a showpiece. It has descended into farce.

This just hastens the demise of the Royal family.

The royal family have survived much worse than this. It's no more than a flea bite on the back of an elephant.

They are looking like a laughing stock right now!

I'm sure their many billions are of comfort to them during this difficult time

I doubt it! That money isn't silencing her trailer trash family is it?"

They don't just give it away! Besides, the Markles have food stamps until the cash-cow starts giving

No, but they are normally brilliant with weddings. This one is like a working class, Peter Kay sketch, or an improbable soap opera wedding. In fact, it's too far fetched for either!

Probably not as strange as when kate came out carrying the new baby in the exact same dress worn by the mother in the a old 80s horror movie called rosamarys child.

Which happened to be about giving birth to satans child.

Either a huge coincidence with astronomical odds or the royals like to have a good troll too.

Either way it was very bizarre :p

I don't want to get into disparaging, denigrating or otherwise criticising people I don't know or care about.

It's interesting that Harry has been encouraged and allowed to marry someone so obviously different to the normal royal brides. However as I said earlier royal families are all about survival and they'll do what it takes.

I'm not sure about him either. He seems to be feeding the celeb sites. Perhaps that's why she so carefully worded her statement about him not going to the wedding.

The whole thing must be an utter nightmare for them. My mate got married last month and she was so stressed with it all it put a downer on her big day. But she didn't have the added worry of terrorist attacks, paparazzi, the world watching her every move and bitching about her dress her hair her smile her past her future...

The royals can hardly hold their head up if we're talking family history "

Will you be staying in and watching....or, like me, will you more than likely be out and about enjoying the weather?"

Megan who?

The one from Meg and Mog?

I enjoyed the coverage. She looked elegant and happy. There were some gorgeous ladies outfits/hats on display there too, very 1940’s esque.

no matter

Dont think Mr Markel would have scrubbed up to well somehow. Best he and her witch of a stirring half sister are best just watching on TV.

Lovely day and lots of happy people. I think many of us Brits enjoy a good Royal Do.
