For those of us of a certain age, does it get any better than that? Other than perhaps the Stone Roses or the Happy Mondays I don't think any band sum up my late teens and early twenties. Its almost a shame Dave Grohl sings and plays the guitar as he can really play the drums!

DG's been known to stand in with the sticks for Queens of the Stone Age....

at one point he considered abandoning the Foos to be their regular drummer

That's true but QotSA have never quite done it for me and there is a great clip with DG, Slash and Lemmy doing Ace of Spades just to remind us how great he is!
