Im the worst speller in the world. Well im a creative speller. I cant stand text speak but the odd spelling mistake doesnt bother me at all as long as it gets the message across.
I want to shag them not have them take a spelling test.
However, your profile is your advertisement and that is what sells you so i think you should make the effort with it not just with spelling but general context as well. Text speak is just my pet hate, mainly because i dont understand it. Im more accepting of it from younger people but not people over about 30. |

I am dislecsic (can't you tell?) so I have to work very hard to spell words correctly (and often fail)
I spell checked my profile, because it's an advert and needs to look as good as possible, but rarely spell check my mails (but google chrome auto spell checks anyway). Txt speak is cool though, but only with those I know fairly bell, I can't be arsed to type out by the way (btw) or whatever.....
I don't really mind too much if people get the spelling wrong, for obvious reasons, but it does make me cringe when people use the wrong word in a context and, since I read profiles before mailing, it would stop me from getting in touch. Devastating for those involved, I am sure..... |

If the spelling is truly atrocious I usually stop reading after the first 5 or 6 errors and go perv the photos instead. Then I make my decision regarding whether I fancy them or not.  |

We never reply to text speak! I suppose I am a bit anal about spelling, not the odd mistake because it is so easy to let one slip through.
Another thing is grammar! Again some mistakes are easy to make, but to be consistently bad? No excuse!
Mix up text, bad spelling and bad grammar… You will be taken from this place to a place of execution…..

Well I have to be honest and say that sometimes spelling bothers me.
If someone is dyslexic then that is an entirely different matter.
The language used, not solely the spelling, can put me off. The odd mis-spelling or mistakes which are attributed with using a smart phone etc do not bother me. Lots of spelling mistakes and language like 'innit' puts me off. |

Seriously, Spell Checkers have been mentioned in this and on other similar posts as the saviour for everyone.
The problem is they are more often than not, biased towards English (American) and NOT English (UK).
Plus, they are usually a year behind reality; so when dictionary updates are published annually, only then do spell checkers start to be updated.

I sounded horrible didn't I hehe! Dyslexia is the exception, I have Dyscalculia, the number form of Dyslexia and I understand how word blind you can be. I don't mean I won't reply f someone just spells few words wrong, it just pisses me off when they abbreviate too much and text speak....it's Couple not cpl! Mr P is not great at spelling, but if he is unsure about a word, he Google's it. Simples

When I was a nipper, some schools in Scotland introduced 'ITA'. It was a way of teaching reading using phonetics and odd symbols, it was a huge success, then they realized none of us could actually spell, the change over was just too trick for our tiny addled brains

Ben is always picking me up for bad grammar and spelling. Mainly capital letters. I do take pleasure in pointing out errors on the rare occasions he makes them.
Personally not over bothered although do struggle with text speak and normally avoid messages typed that way. |

If you're just looking for sex, then it doesn't really matter how good your spelling is deemed to be, but if you're looking for something more, like good conversation and people to socialise with, then you can often sort the wheat from the chaff (and yes, I know it's stereotyping) and find out who you'll get on better with, by looking at their use of English. |

bad spelling dont bother me that much, i met a guy once who was dyslexic his messages was so hard to make out took me ages to reply to each one, but he was a really nice guy and i had a few great meets with him, would have seemed a shame to miss out on that just because his messages was bad
i suppose if its just normal thickness thats the reason they cant spell you have to wonder if they can string a conversation together in real life if they cant even spell as good as my 10 year old
