Our neighbours have seen us sunbathing/playing in our very secluded garden. They will have had to climb up a 6ft panelled wooden fence between us to have seen us but are threatening us with indecent exposure. Anyone have any experience or advice on this? Xx |

They can threaten all you like. You’re in the privacy of your own garden so you have a reasonable expectation of privacy. The offence has to be in public anyway and you have to intend on being seen. Threaten them with voyeurism which fits the bill more than you committing exposure. |

Being naked isn’t actually a criminal offence anyway. Only if people are offended by it, which is stupid. Why should somebody be offended... I do ageee with not doing it where kids are about though, that’s just weird
But as said above, only in a public place can anything be done about it |

Could they have seen you from an upstairs window?
There is probably nothing they can do about it so wouldn't worry.
Personally I wouldn't sunbath naked in my garden unless I had no neighbours and certainly wouldn't be having sex. |

If your in your private back garden and they had to climb 6ft to see you naked then it sounds like they went through some effort to see you naked, charge them for being pervy peeping toms |

Their threat is laughable. |

It’s only an offence if your intent is to shock people by showing them your genitals (like a flasher). Although it doesn’t have to be done in a public place it must be able to be seen in a public place (standing in a window facing the street).
I’d retort with the offence of voyerism and tell them you’ll call the police in them.

This is nonsense. Tell them to f*ck off, not to darken your doorway again and if you see them spying again, tell them they can explain what they were doing to the local police when they knock their door. |
