In June, the dress code is ‘tea party attire’ (thinking Alice in wonderland kind of thing). I’m at a loss!!! Obviously being a fat bird is a bit of an issue but I was wondering if any of you lovely lot have got any ideas!? I’d rather my shoulders covered.

Thanks in advance.

Avoid the whole high waist cut. It does no favours if you don’t have the height.

Have a look at the secret plus sized goddess blog she knows her stuff and has some great ideas.

Have fun sounds cool.

Go dressed as a flamingo.

Flamingos are cool and fit in at a mad hatters tea party I think.

I like flamingos

Aw I’ll have a look at that. I do have a dress but is very poofy at the belly and I feel a bit self conscious, when Ads is with me I feel fine but he isn’t going.

Is it a ‘Tea Party’ theme or a ‘Tea Party’ as a formal if it’s a swanky do? The latter usual infers something akin to RaceDay attire....if that helps

What about the queen of hearts? I’ve seen some stunning plus size cosplays, that’s who I’d end up going as

Sounds fun anyway - go as a Teapot! (Cardboard cut out)
