When I was a kid, committed theft a few times. Chocolate bars, Mr. Freezes, jazz mags, that kind of thing. I don’t see my sin as being on quite the same scale as abusing a position of trust and fucking then marrying my adopted daughter.
I do separate the man’s private life from his films, which is why I can watch and enjoy his films, but I just found it funny that his being out of favour was ‘recent’. |

I was speaking more in terms of the "Me Too" campaign when another step-child emerged from the shadows claiming abuse, and resurrected all the above-mentioned. Resulted in his latest film having a very limited release in this country. |

Who are these abused kids exactly?
I don’t suppose we will ever know what did or did not happen. But in Allen’s case we are expected to believe that, during a messy divorce from Mia Farrow, who herself seemed more than a little unhinged about everything, Allen went round to her house. And despite no accusations of abuse before or since, chose this particular day of all days, with family members present in the house, to whisk Dylan into an upstairs bedroom and abuse her?
Like I say, we will never know. I do believe that Dylan believes it to be true, as she has been so vocal about it. I am less convinced it wasn’t down to the influence of an unhinged and bitter Farrow. |

OK, I’ll agree that it would be pretty weird to fall in love with your daughter. But it wasn’t really like that with Allen and Soon- Yi.
It was actually Andre Previn and Farrow who adopted Soon Yi in 1978. When Allen and Farrow were together later on, they did not live together, and Allen had little to do with Soon Yi’s upbringing, or had much contact at all until she was around 20 or 21.
So yes, it’s all very unconventional, but it was quite different to what you would like to suggest by saying ‘he fell in love with his daughter’ in some sort of inappropriate pedo grooming way. He didn’t - he fell in love with his adopted step daughter after he got to know her when she was 20. |

As if it was totally normal and okay to do so ? I mean the guy can't put himself some boundaries to not cross ? Like a child who wants something and need to get it without thinking about the consequences of his actions.
He loves his daughter ! Yes, okay, a dad needs to, but a dad doesn't need to fuck her to prove her that he loves her. This is where lies the difference !
The guy claimed that he fell in love with her so he went for it ! I can't get my head around that. Marrying and FUCKING your daughter ! He couldn't love her daughter from afar ? He needed to marry her and fuck her.

Did you even read what I wrote?
The whole point was that she wasn’t actually his daughter in any meaningful, conventional sense.
She was his wife’s grown up step daughter, who he never really had anything to do with as a father as such because he and Farrow lived separately and he only really got to know her when she was 20. |
