I've recently been on a management training course, and to break the ice the trainer asked all attendees to share an interesting fact about themselves.

So good folk of fab, if you feel the need or just want to show off share away.

I'll start.

My Dad's cousin played a named character role in both Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back.

1. A character in a television drama based on my workplace which ran for 3 series in the 1990's was completely based on me (and Anita, the series creator spent a summer working with my team to understand our work).

2. I have walked in the Arctic and Antarctic circles.

3. My great great uncle was one of many named suspects in the Jack the Ripper murders.

I was in a small aircraft mid air doing a tandem sky dive.

One of the instructors had a meltdown and didn't want to jump out of the plane she said it was too cloudy.

Everyone was screaming at her "jump out the fucking plane"

I was next and had to go without a say in the matter.

And I had a hangover

The best bit of the story is on the way back we were all in a mini bus taxi and there was a random man we didn't recognise - it was the pilot hitching a lift back to town as he's lost his drivers license

20 years ago now - but every word is true
