I posted on an earlier thread a couple of weeks ago that thieves had stripped out the power cable from the sub-station feeding our house which resulted in most of our appliances blowing up. The insurance company settled this week for everything we lost and one of those items was our pc monitor.
In the room where our pc is there is (was) also a huge 40" Sony rear projection TV. It was way too big for our needs so, as we had to get a new pc monitor anyway, I thought I'd get rid of the Sony TV and buy a HD 26" TV that also doubled up as a monitor. I put the Sony on freecycle on Tuesday evening and someone came and collected it today - can't believe how fast it went tbh!
We'd already been to Comet and it was a toss up between a JVC 26" HD or a Goodmans 26" HD, I wanted the JVC but Siren preferred the Goodmans so that's what we ordered. I've just been to collect it to find it hasn't been delivered to the store - so the kind salesman upgraded us, at no extra cost, to the JVC I wanted anyway - a more expensive TV and a better brand!
