1. Rugby Union
2. Cricket
Be lost without either of them. But that's the order.
League, NFL, Snooker, athletics, even Baseball would be missed.
Soccer and Basketball are weird antisports. |

"If you could only watch or participate in one sport forever, what would it be and why ??"
Cycling:
There are many different varieties of it.
It's fantastic exercise
I enjoy the technical side and the culture.

Rock climbing, obvs - if that counts as a sport?
otherwise, if it's one sport to both watch AND do, then cycling - love being out on the roadie. And, once you start to understand the team tactics, performance/recovery issues, etc then watching a big stage race unfold over multiple days makes for excellent telly.
If it was JUST watching, then I guess the football. Apart from televised cycling grand tours it's the only TV sport I have any interest in. Supporting City has become a bit boringly predictable this season though! |

"Elephant polo, because its the one sport where Scotland are the most successful nation in history " Really ?? I can see why due to the increasing numbers of wild Nellies wandering through the Highlands |

"Rugby league.
That’s an odd one considering there’s no rugby league in the midlands as such .... all centred around the M62 corridor ...
but agree it’s a great sport to watch and play "
Think Sydney and PNG are a fair way off the M62 junction. |

Quite right . I’ve played in Aussie many many moons ago but I’d hazard a guess they were referring closer to home |

"Easy one Rugby!!
Played it from age of 8 and still going
Great sport to watch too
Who’s with me here!!
What code
Only one union "
Has to be league for me all day long . However union has come on in leaps and bounds over the last 30 years and has eclipsed league from a financial and marketing point of view ... and the union game itself has changed dramatically with far more running than kicking ..... I played league when scrummaging wasn’t passive |
