every time I get in my car and start it, I receive a notification that I can expect an x minutes drive to work . How does the phone know that I'm driving to work I’m getting paranoid even knows what my work place is called I’m I been followed or I’m I paranoid |

I'll say it again because obviously invisible
Turn location services off on your phone.
Apple in their wisdom think people will be happy to be tracked every second of the day and will feel the odd traffic notification or "we know you like McDonald's, there's one local to you" will be a welcome interference.
