After being on and of these sites for a while all the time wasters are driving me mad aarrrggghhhh ! Why arrange meets then never turn up ,why put status updates that have absolutely nothing to with swinging / meets / fun ,sick of seeing things like out shopping or does anyone have a cheap car for sale ! Why do people leave mail sat unread for 2 weeks in mailbox but keep asking for more and why do people beg for others to fab their pics and get them on page 1 of most fabbed! Please tell me I’m not the only one thinking these things lol it makes it soooooo hard to just have /find fun on here x |

Live and let live I say. People will use the site how they see fit, there’s no right or wrong.
Although you might want to reevaluate your selection process if you’re getting that many people stand you up. |

I've had this account for over 2 years now and I haven't had any meets. I've given up on the idea of meeting anyone from here. So I just nose around the Forums and look at the pretty pictures. From my experience you get more from the online experience when you're not so 'thirsty' and frustrated and you go in with zero expectations. |

What you are experiencing is normal for this and other similar sites.
You just have to filter through the Profiles and any responses you get.
But remember, it all comes down to how you "sell and portray yourself" against 100's of other guys seeking the same thing.

So many questions. Most of which you could answer yourself if you thought about them.
But your right. People do what they want on here, it’s up to you if you want to get involved with all that stuff. |

Not sure how any of those things make it hard to "find fun" OP? I've found if you look beyond the FB style statuses and Fab requests and take your time to get to know people so that you have a reasonable idea they're genuine (and not a bloke pretending to be a woman) that there's a lot of pleasure to be had from the site - especially if you have a decent profile and pics that are appealing to others |

I tried to get my pics fabbed enough times to get to page one but I'm not hot enough lol. And I know there's girls who cheat to get on page one, but I liked the challenge . It was just an experiment for me ?? |

Its up to you to take steps to ensure you know someone well enough that they wont let you down without saying.
If you try to meet within a day of talking or push for a meet then chances are you will be let down.

If people are interested they are polite if leaving a chat.. if they just go mid chat then a sure sign of time wasting or other motive.
Lets meet? and the reply is they are busy for a few weeks another sign.Especially if there status suggests wanting a meet.
Its just something you have to get used to and i use the block as at least you dont see them appearing every 5mins of the day

If people leave mid chat then it could be that your conversation was really boring or they have a life outside of fab or any number of reasons not necessarily one being that they are timewasters. Same goes for arranging meets - people have busy lives and can’t always meet immediately. |

I have been on enough sites to tell the difference. I am talking about the stage when you know the other person is fake. YES I WILL MEET YOU TOMORROW. They then go on about the details of play etc and guess what forgot where time,place.
Never even ask and if you suggest a time etc they answer as if they never recieved the mail and carry straight on about other stuff.
I have no issue them using the site as they wish but lots of newbies must be very letdown.
BEST ONES they are the ones who say yes lets meet tomorrow and when you say Hi that being the best intro they just carry on as if they had never promised at all.

Absolutely this.
As for saying we can't meet for weeks, it is true in our case. We tell people this very early on, we have things going on in our lives that mean we don't (often) do drop of the hat meets.
Doesn't mean we aren't genuine, if the wait is too long for you, then you aren't for us. Our last meet was 7 weeks from agreeing to it actually happening, but was well worth the wait.

I often start a conversation the day after the supposed meet with Hi.. the one with the hotlisted both friends and 60 messages until 2 in the morning ones.
NO i am so sorry i forgot or even i was busy as they just start where they left off two days previously before the supposed meet with no reference to the huge message history
Its all may of the site and i enjoy the
Interplay and spotting the genuine.

I never have any issues, its about making sure there is a connection in the first place and the correct questions are asked and answered. Be selective, its quality over quantity, why would you be asking somebody for a meet who isn't a member, has no pics let alone a profile pic, no veris and joined 24 hours ago...

They stand you up because they come on the forum and see you whingeing. They put up statutes for fun, because they want to. They leave your mail unread in their inboxes because you don't interest them. They ask for their pictures to be fabbed because they enjoy it

Arranging meets and not turning up I agree is irritating, it happened to me once in my first few weeks on here. Its one of the reasons I insist on the ping pong email now as someone who genuinely wants to meet you will put the effort in.
Status updates are inevitably going to take on a f/book stance, its the nature of the beast I'm afraid, but also very easy to ignore. |
