I once told a girl on a dating site she has lovely freckles.

Turns out it was a snapchat filter and I've never heard from her again

Technology is now getting far too ahead of me.

Problem is that each new product tends NOT to have any manual; manufacturers seem to think that users already know how to navigate their way around systems or products.

Yes, I'm a Dinosaur when it comes to techie stuff, so I'll get back to work & my Abacus!

I agree, everything seems to be tailored towards new millennia and practice learners rather than visual or reading ones

Yep all the time, gadgets, gizmos I haven't got a clue how to work them, good at breaking them!

I used to get embarrassed asking my kids how to use things, but now they know I'm useless and are there to guide me through it

Often.

I try. I really do. And sometimes I succeed. But the next time I try to do the same thing, confident that I’d bested it once, I fail.

The microwave used to have a timer and a start/stop button. Now I need a fecking degree in nuclear physics to heat my porridge up.

Sigh

Technology is a marvellous thing and brings with it many benefits ( that’s not to say I understand how to use it) but it does p**s me of when things get ‘techied up’ when they did the job just fine as they were. So in short yes I am a dinosaur.

Most devices will have a QR code just scan the code and it will take you to their website, then just hit the help pages.

Look on the box.

On your mobile or tablet scan the black and white square (QR code).

It's amazing this new fangled technology.

You can thank the Eurocrats for your lack of paper manuals and of course people wanting to save the planet.

Sorry for offering to help

Despite being an old fart, I like technology but long ago realised that it has to be useful, not just a gimmick. Otherwise it's not worth carting about ...

Some stuff is good but it's worrying how many people (especially young folks) are obsessed with how they appear on social media. Filtering and face tuning themselves to look as fake and unrealistic as possible, desperate for likes, finding false confidence from strangers.

But like hot pics on here

There is a worrying amount of reliance on tech. that has lead to certain skills being lost. When the tech fails, many people are helpless.....

Showing your age.

Twitch is where kids and adults stream video games they are playing live and others watch. The most popular gamers get paid to play games. My son plays and watches fornite streamers on Twitch one of them is pulling in 500,000 dollars a month playing fornite.

Luckily, I have to stay on the cutting edge of technology, due to my work...

However, there was a time where I refused to get a smartphone and didn’t use social media...

and my brother was always annoying me with all his iPhone apps and Cameraphone Trickery...

It took a good while to get back into the swing of it when I eventually got myself an iPhone...

But... I now teach companies how to use technology, such as Smartphones, Drones and other cool gadgets for Social Media and to Market Their Business Online

We really do live in a sad world when kids get paid to play computer games (sorry dots on a screen).

No wonder they can't function anymore

It's not all bad . Research shows it heightens awareness and ability to multitask. Also if my son could earn 500k a month playing video games I wouldn't complain.

These gamers are their icons and hero's and if you ask my kids mates who they want to be hen they grow up its YouTubers or streamers.

The phone. You find the QR App and use that to scan QR codes. They're everywhere (bus stops, for instance).

I explained above.Basically being paid to stream video games that are watched by others.Think of it as video games are now a spectator sport.
