I’ve been thinking of going to Barcelona in the autumn. Anyone who’s been, is it worth a visit ?
Which cities here or abroad have you visited and enjoyed ? |

The Land that time forgot (Norfolk) |
Bolzano in Northern Italy, not sure it qualifies as a City as it's quite small bit it's lovely. Spent a couple of days there last year and would happily return for longer. It's not touristy but loads of nice restaurants and shops plus a weekly market. |

Rome
Florence
Prague
Madrid
Seville
Berlin
I would recommend any of the above; if you can avoid school half-term you should be able to get a decent hotel and a flight for not too much money.
Six nights, in Prague, in early December for three people (two rooms) in a five star hotel, plus return flights from Heathrow, has just gone through my bank account for £740 per person. |

For Prague, this seems pretty overpriced to me! |

I went to a wedding on lake como, it was amazing. There’s a restaurant where you have to get a boat to it and it is fan-fucking-tastic. Great food, great venue, great night. |

Taormina on Scilly, about an hour from Palermo. It's a cliff top town with a massive roman amphitheater. In the evening you can sit outside a bar on the main pedestrian street and watch as everyone comes and walks up and down the road.
Or Blackpool |

If you are going to Barcelona make sure you book to go into any of the places you want to see as they get very busy and sometimes they are fully booked weeks in advance. Rome would be our number one as it has something amazing to see on every corner. Both are great for a few days xxx |

They have a dance festival there some years - one day I'll get there! |

Como is excellent. If you hire a car, better still up the western side of the lake, about 45 mins is Cadebabbia. Brillant! You can get a boat service there to Bellagio on the other side of the lake.
Florence - if you are architecturally minded.
Sorrento. Just beautiful!
Kyrenia in N. Cyprus. Most photographed harbour in that sector of island.
Malta. Whole island is great.
Turkey: Olu Deniz.
Menorca.
