Ok simple question but I’m interested to hear.
Name your first car, present car, dream car.
My dream car when I was young was an escort cosworth but they are going up and up in value and I can’t waste my money on one.
First car = Astra
Present car= new focus rs
Dream car = Aventador or zonda |

First - Rust, with a whiff of petrol and a dislike of being tested.
Current - Astra, with a whiff of mediocre and a sensible attitude.
Dream - New Supra, with a whiff of BMW and a nostalgic nod to days gone bye bye |

Amazing how many want a classic car for their dream car and not A Veyron or something similar!
I`m no different! I started with an Austin A35 van, currently am on my third Land Rover Discovery although I do have two vintage tractors, a lorry to transport them and when I have the time I have a Series 2A Land Rover and a 2 door Range Rover to get back on the road.
If the cash was available? An Austin Healey 3000Mk 3. And a garage to keep it in!

If you are lucky enough to own one from when they were a reasonable price then they are not a waste but for me to buy a good one with low miles I'm looking at 50k upwards, then I wouldn't use it as my daily drive because its a so called investment.
I've spent around 30k on my focus rs which I drive every day, take the kids to school, do the shopping, not worried about putting miles on it or it breaking down, oh yes and it eats cossies for breakfast
Which escort you got, big or little turbo, Monte, Motorsport shell, lux? |

"now is a Vauxhall monaro dream car " There was a Monaro near me, it's now gone
Also a VXR8 rumbled around too!!
First = Vauxhall Viva
Present = Octavia estate
Dream =
Summer/good-days= AC Cobra 289
Possibly useable, without it wanting to kill you like a 427
And...... still able to 'kick the ass' of 95% of moderns!!
Day - day dream = Range Rover L322
TDV8 (one of the rare manual versions)
That's the 3rd shape, not the manky 'blinged up' pimpmobile that's the present shape RR

"1st Ford escort mk1 1.3xl
Now Ford Focus Mk 1 1.8
Want Chevy impala 63 model, same as Nero drives in Sons of Anarchy "
Wouldn't say no to a Toyota Celica mk1 1600st, shame about the rust issue, but imho the best looking affordable car of the 1980's |

First: Mk 1 Ford Fiesta (my favourite of everything)
Current: 535, e92 M3, R8
Dream: Mustang GT500 Eleanor. Just can’t justify the price tag for what it is so something else will be bought in its place and it will remain forever a dream. |

Congratulations on passing your test.
Funny how some of the posters have very expensive cars... but looking at their profile/pics I would say they have woken up now and it was all a dream.

my cosworth could smash yours as its got as racing engine in it and a. big turbo ,even if yours was 4wd I'd still rather have mine with rally pedigree designed to go sideways not shopping |

First - classic VW Beetle
Current - Fiesta Ecoboost
Dream - either a bright green convertible classic Beetle but modified to invisibly contain all the modern safety features and a turbo engine lol!
Or a bright orange classic VW Dormobile with similar 'sympathetic' indiscernable modifcation! |

Noticing the link between being a Beetle owner and being on here anyone?
Is there a link in our psyche? |

First - Gold Rover Metro Van Den Plas with brown velour interior.
Current - I have 2, BMW 335D and Renault Megane Renaultsport RS250. Both modified putting out about 350hp each.
Dream car - Ferrari 360CS, not the fastest or most powerful but the noise and the buzz it gives you is amazing, I've driven 3 of them. |
