If I'm the only bugger I'm going to cry into my glass of water. I really should be more proactive and arrange something with someone.

All alone here. Uncomfortably hot, I love the light of a sunny day but don’t actually enjoy being hot. Mmmm. I’m feeling decidedly unmotivated and I do need to do some prep for Tuesday at work, but fear it’s going to be pushed into tomorrow eve as I’m drifting about failing to achieve anything of note. Yeah it's completely closed down down all the troops have left, which must have been a bit of a loss for the local community.

Haven’t they closed most of the bases? If not I think they are all to be closed shortly, must be devastating for the local economies.

I don't know what's still there to be honest. I did love it there though, not sure about being a WO2's wife but I loved Germany.

Germany is nice.

I can imagine all those mess do’s were quite demanding. They do like the pomp and ceremony.

It's just all the bullshit that comes with it,little wifey has to be seen to be supporting her man and dare she not. My ex got told off once because my dress was too short for one of the summer balls. It was a last minute buy and he was there so I didn't get much time to shop. It was either buy that or I didn't go. Yeah I don't miss that.

Everything has to be done their way, traditions you see. Still in the last century. "

I'd never come across the class system until I got married and joined him in Germany. It was an eyeopener that's for sure.

Oh right I never went there. I lived in Fallingbostel for 12 years if you've heard of it.

I’ve heard of it and been there once a long time ago.

I adopted mine when they were slightly older they only remember being with their foster carers though not their parents. It sounds like they're great parents,I know one of mine thinks the same as you so I'm happy. It hasn't been an easy ride though, but myself and my ex have nearly managed to get them to adulthood in virtually one piece so all's good.

That brought tears to my eyes thankyou for saying that. My youngest at 16 wrote me a letter not so long ago saying the same thing's which means so much. It makes up for all the tippy tantrums she's had in the past.

She's a beautiful intelligent loving girl, but was also a little stubborn bugger growing up causing us many tears. I think it was her way of taking some control over her life. My eldest at 17 is more complex and has lost her way at the moment. I could write a book. Smiley face.
