"Liverpool fan, but huge respect for what he achieved. Fingers crossed for him x
Ditto.. Think regardless of club loyalties there will be a lot of fans of the game sending positive thoughts.. "
Like I posted on other social media - I would like to thank so many fans, players and clubs for there thoughts and wishes over the last few hours
I would like to say thank you and appreciate especially the comments from fans of Liverpool and Leeds on the gaffer’s well being.
As a United fan, I have grown up with gaffer in charge. I had always in my head thought that if anything was to happen it would be sir bobby first.
The last few hours, I have been in a daze along with a number of fellow fans that sit near us at old Trafford.

I think it goes to show that even if you’re the most hardened Man U hater, you can still appreciate what a managerial genius SAF is.
He’s also been exceptionally supportive to other fellow managers too. |

As a Liverpool supporter I can honestly say that I am whole heartedly behind Alex Ferguson and prey that this great man pulls through. Football competitive means nothing now, we're all on the same side of life

The work he's done behind the scenes over the last God knows how long for other managers says a lot about him.
I'm not a United supporter, doesnt mean I cant see what a great man and a truly great manager he is.
The presentation for Wenger says is all.
He has a lot of class....
Hoping he pulls through!!!!

The bloke has been as close to death as you can get...he's has had a brain haemorrhage ffs and is still hoping to make a recovery.
Do you think he is choosing the way in that recovery is made?
I think you will find his caring family will be making them decisions for him
But some people on here seem to just want to turn everything into politics for some unknown reason |

I think the fact they post from Leeds and Liverpool says it all tbh!
All the best SAF... a true legend and no doubt we'll see him back where he belongs at OT for the start of the season. |

A bit uncalled for on a thread like this.
But anyone who has wealth and a social conscience will always be open to allegations of hypocricy. Your response doesn't distract from the validity of the comment you are attacking though |

I suspect, the report of a private suite, possibly means that he's in a single room as opposed to a bay on a ward, more for his benefit in regards treatment rather than going against his working-class belief.
Given the low levels, the press goes to sometimes, being in his jimjams would be the sort of photo they would take for a story. In the hospital, he's vulnerable and somewhat a sitting duck and as such "any persons of interest" will get such treatment and protection that will ultimately make life easier for both the patient and staff. |

Envious much?
I'm always astounded how the milk of human kindness escapes some people.
Illness transends wealth or power or politics.
It hits the rich and poor just the same.
