Me and dave started chatting on a singles site. We started chatting via text nothing sexual or anything just everyday chat. One evening i messaged him asking what he was doing. He was on a call out and just finishing it. He was passing close by my way on his way home so. So i asked if he wanted a coffee. 8 years later and the bugger is still here lol |

I used to sell my ex dvds... I met her in a tattoo shop and her first words were "our what you selling there!" I sold her films and put her in my phone as '(name) tattoo'
And she put me in hers as Rhys dvds. We met up at hers when she joked you should pop up to watch a film. so I said ok. We talked and she asked me what I was interested in life. I said I didn't want to settle down, don't want kids, don't want a mrs. Ended up falling for her and being with her 6 years. She has 3 kids. Love can change a person.... All ended as her ex husband, kids dad and I had a massive falling out and he made it difficult for her with the kids. And was slagging me off too the kids... You know how it is.. shame..  |

We met here.
He popped up on my local updates with a status saying something along the lines of "free today... what to do?" I messaged saying I was off to Sainsburys to do my shopping if he fancied meeting for a coffee.
He was very open about being married and that suited me as I didnt want anything serious.
A year later we had fallen for each other, he left his wife to be here with me and herewe are a further 3 years down the line happy as pigs in shit. |

I met my late partner on Orange chat he was from Wales and I'm in Durham we messaged chatted and I eventually invited him for the weekend and he never went back home lol
we had almost 8years together he passed away 3 years ago last month |

Known each other for 30 years. Lost touch when we went to different secondary schools. Bumped into each other by chance at the age of sweet 16 in a well known supermarket haha and have been inseparable for nearly 22 years and still love the arse off of each other  |

I met hubby on another swinging site, we were both there as singles, he kept asking me to meet him but i thought he was a couple, he persuaded me that wasnt true so we met for a chat. Really really liked him, both eager to see each other again which we did. Fell in love almost straight away. Moved in together over 10 years ago. Been married for about 4 years |

Met Gomez online about 13 years ago, got chatting, had an ‘almost but not quite’ spell where we just never really got it together & eventually lost touch. Something I had a few ‘what if’ moments about over the years.
Turned out, so did he! We reconnected again via Facebook a couple of years ago, met up for a drink & the connection & chemistry was still there ... and the rest, as they say, is history!! |

I met my wife when we were 12 and I joined her Maths class. Later did ‘O’ Level Woodwork together and spent more time together than actually applying ourselves to the dovetail joints lol
We left School at 16 and went out separate ways for a couple of years. I joined the Army at 18 and was posted to West Germany. On one Christmas leave though, I came home and whilst doing last minute Christmas shopping in her shop we ran into each other again. I asked her out for dinner on 24th December 1987, we married on 2nd December 1988 and have been together ever since. My wife supported me throughout my 22 years in the Army and we brought up 4 amazing children. |

Home on leave and my little sister and mum were arguing all the time. I decided to go out for a drink in town (strange in itself as I don't drink) and knew absolutely nobody, my mum moved towns after I joined the army. Chatted to some guys in a bar and when last orders was called they said they were off to a local nightclub. I went with them and was stood looking at the dance floor when she bumped into me. Turned out she was with her friend who had pushed her into me saying talk to him he looks nice. Nearly 30 years later we are still together and love each other as much as we did back then. |

I asked her if she would model for me (i was a semi-pro tog back then working for a famous porn mag publisher). She told me to fuck off and stop being stupid! So we went for a coffee instead.
That was nearly 23 years ago. And yes, I did end up persuading her to model...eventually |

26 years ago in a pub in Canterbury, she couldn't speak English and I couldn't speak Japanese but 6 months later we got married in front of a very sceptical registrar.
Last year celebrated our 25th anniversary.
So how did we communicate? Simple we used the one real international language, the language of love.
