Dog owners is/are your pet/s wimps?

Just watched an American show where someone burgles the house and all the dog does is wags its tail and wants to play with intruder.

Can you hand on heart say your pet will defend whats yours.

Den of Iniquity

Pooch will just bark which is good enough as at least I'm alerted . He barks at birds in the garden so an intruder wouldn't slip in quietly

Ooch would entertain them with his witty conversation and knowledge .

Giving me time to get my cricket bat out

Our dog lola barks at flies so im sure she will alert us to anything odd.

Although i must admit she is scared of rolls of wrapping paper and will hide behind me and bark at it

i think ive got more chance of my cat attacking an intruder haha

Our dogs are fantastic at barking, open the door and they usually roll over and wet themselves or give really over enthusiastic greetings.

I'm happy to say that my boy has never been tested in that way but I have little to no doubt he would protect home and owner if required.

He's such a lovable boy, friendly to everyone and everything... until some young d*unk lads were waving their arms and being rowdy while heading towards us. Well, he stepped in front of me and stopped walking. Hackles up and just stared at them. They crossed the road and quietened down.

One of my dogs is a personal protection dog and is insured as such. But the others, I wouldn’t expect or want to get involved in anything since the dangerous dogs act was amended to cover injuries caused by dogs on personal property, making injuries to intruders a legal “grey area”

I have a Cavalier bitch, say no more. I would like to say she's loyal but give her some food and a stroke and she'll follow anyone home.

Hmmm, sounds familiar.
